See below and take noteAt that point you shouldn't be going. The only reason I go to games is for the atmosphere and if 1/4 of the stands is making atmosphere and has half the people telling me to stop chanting and sit down then that isn't fair as they could be in the other 3/4s of the stadium with the sitting bunch where I wouldn't choose to sit and rather save my money not going.
The single tier was created to generate atmosphere not prawn sandwiches!
we all pay for a ticket, and with it being close to the family area there are some kids that when standing up cannot see F'all. there are also be elderly people that cannot stand to watch a match, and then those with little mobility. the minute 1 row stands it effects every single row going back. the seats are there for a reason, and until standing is ever introduced back into the game, I'm affraid people need to learn to park their arses on what they paid for. imagine paying all that money being a ST holder to then receive a ban for being selfish.
you can still create an atmosphere sitting down
- It is widely believed that this practice is illegal. This is not the case, even within Premier League and Championship grounds. The law only provides that these clubs should provide seats for all supporters, not that supporters must sit on them.
I managed to get a couple of tickets for the huddersfield game this morning. I have the email confirmations but they're not showing up in my account as seats other than in the purchased section. Does anyone know when if it takes a while to show up?
Was in North upper, quite high up so when people in front stood I couldn't see the goal my end. Didn't even see Kane's turn and shot properly. There was much less standing in the second half, though that was due to us attacking the other end. I was able to sing sitting down.why can't people sing sitting down? I did for near on 90 minutes
Coopsie, have we got to call you 'Clyde' now
Anyone been to The Dispensary yet?
If you can't sing sitting down it's because you talk out your arse
Anybody have any idea on the levels of matchday revenues we generated? It must be the highest around the world by far? Open early, everybody going for food, lots of drinking. Id love to see the figure we posted!
What, you need the bottle in case you have to piss in it?At a football ground, when there are queues fot the toilets? No thanks.
Flipping heck, this 'standgate' (as I'm calling it) is creating some drama.
I can understand both points of view. All I'll add is, in my opinion, it's pretty much human nature stand when you're pumped with excitement, or jump up when we score, or if a rash challenge is made etc.
Heck, the entire disabled section of Anfield couldn't resist it when Lovren scored.
See you there. Your round...Going to check it out on Saturday. Went to the White Hart last night instead (the other level 5 bar). Busy but got served straight away, just don’t tell anyone!
I had a beef brisket burger in the corner of North/West stands, was very tasty ?
We were talking about the south stand where we are trying to make some noise and atmosphere. Sit in the north. Was in North upper, quite high up so when people in front stood I couldn't see the goal my end. Didn't even see Kane's turn and shot properly. There was much less standing in the second half, though that was due to us attacking the other end. I was able to sing sitting down.
Standing is honestly overrated. I say that as someone who has stood 90+ minutes at Crawley games over the years. You pay for a seat. Use it. Only stand for ovations at subs and goals.
Also, can we please stop this stand up if you hate Arsenal chant? Sod them. Sod standing. I hate them when seated, when standing, when sleeping but when they aren't play them do not give them the time of day.
Is there an asshole in the middle grassing everyone up for standing?Stretford end all standing tonight
