I’m still going to games. I can’t not go. Yeah Wembley isn’t fun but it’s better than watching us under Sherwood. I still went then and hated the laughing stock he made our club. I’m not going to suddenly stop now.
Hour of need? When isn’t the club in need? I did the Sherwood time, did the Graham time, season ticket holder since the Graham days but had been going for years before that as a member. If I took time of before I’d be at the back of the queue for a season ticket. It’s been relentless trying to get the money together every year. This is my first opportunity to take a mini break, hopefully missing no more than 5 games. Maybe the club should think more about fans in their hour of need and not just think we can spend more on them every year without eventually putting other things first. We’ve had 80k+ crowds in recent seasons. Let them take up some of the slack. Like I’ve said before, the 24k season ticket holders we had made a serious commitment. To fill 62k we need some committed people too. But there is a breaking point, different for everybody. A lot of people are learning theirs.Exactly. If I was willing to attend every match George Graham managed then money permitting I’ll go to these matches at Wembley. I left London years ago and now live closer to Southampton but I’m not going to abandon my club in its hour of need, even when it means getting home from a drab midweek game at gone 1am.
