Well I pay £1205 west upper block 7, you can probably add 20-25% to those prices by the time the stadium is built

And it's about a grand for East Upper Block G, so I don't know why people are getting upset at the prices being quoted. They're broadly comparable to what ST holders are paying already.

At WHL I pay that kind of money to queue up for a grubby loo with an inadequate number of stalls and no hand washing facilities. And the only available food is a plastic bagel for £3. And the beer, for which I have to queue throughout half time, is all fizzy piss.

Fuck that. I'd rather pay a couple of hundred more per season and have clean, modern toilets where I can wash my hands, a concession where I can buy a selection of freshly prepared, spicy and healthy snacks and a bar where I can get some proper ale. I don't want any "executive" crap with waiters and I don't want "prawn sandwiches". I just want some value for my money.

Similar seat for a similar price I dont think is too much to ask, allowing for a bit of an increase - seems to be what these options are suggesting roughly.

Yep, I pay nearly £1,100 for my ST in the Lower West stand (block 10), so those options in that survey are roughly in line with that.

I'm sure they sent a similar survey out about 3 or 4 years ago and the prices were a lot higher than that then.

This project is worth hundred of millions, and is a massive determinant in the club's future - financially and on the pitch. Its capacity will be what gives the highest expected profitabilty within the sets of constraints. This number may very well be 61 000, and even be communicated as a gesture to the 61 team, but Levy won't assume extra risk or lose expected profit on a gimmick for such a massive project. (Nor would he tell the notoriously blabbering tour guides.)
Perhaps the gobshites should be promoted to ITK status ;)

It's not necessarily the prices that put me off, although I do have a ceiling price, it is the suggestion of multiple-year contracts. In my line of work I simply do not have the long-term job security to sign up to a season ticket where the contract length exceeds the length of my employment contract.

The long term contracts would surely be an option, not compulsory. They would offer benefits and probably discounts in exchange for long term commitments. The chances of them forcing all ST holders to sign long term contracts are less than zero. It would be a self-evidently bad business decision.

Yeah I whole heartedly agree. Here's hoping that they don't enforce contracts. Also, David, thanks for your insights throughout the stadium process!
