Does anyone know?

Who will own the stadium?

Who will own all the surrounding stuff (hotel, flats etc)

Does it belong to ENIC or THFC?

Does it matter? The money received will be reinvested into the club and if enic want to sell no-one will buy a club without a ground.

Anyway the answer is neither. Enic set up a new company to deal with all this that is based in the bahamas for tax reasons.

...it's definitely far more different to the original design than what @davidmatzdorf had me to believe was possible

I agree with everything you wrote above except that ;).

It's certainly more of an improvement than I had hoped, but that's because I didn't think they really "got" architecture.

But it's basically the same stadium in different clothes and with more efficient (in terms of capacity) layout, which is what I thought they'd achieve. It's the same size, the same shape, has the same orientation and is in the same place. We had people here (not necessarily you) talking about a total redesign, even relocation to span the High Rd (!). This is nothing remotely like that.

This is educated guesswork, not ITK:

I don't think ENIC has any direct ownership interest in any of this.

I reckon THFC, or a Special Purpose Vehicle, or eventually a THFC-owned holding company, will own the stadium and its associated accommodation, including the public realm. They may also retain the Freehold of the entire site and sell off long leases - not sure.

I think THFC (or SPV or holding company) will hang onto the retail units and obviously Warmington House.

For the residential, they will probably involve a development partner, or more than one, including perhaps a housing association, and the housing will be owned by the developer(s), possibly subject to a profit-sharing arrangement, when it has been completed.

The hotel will be owned by the hotel operator.

Tell me why it matters if the revenue goes to spurs and if anyone buys us they will buy the ground as well? In fact we will pay less tax so that means we get more money.

It matters because over a hundred years of work and support from THFC family built this club and ground.

It matters because I don't want THFC ending up like Crystal Palace or Charlton.

Quite frankly I find it galling that no one really knows or cares.

I didn't think I could be as blown away by the changes in design as I have been. It's absolutely amazing. Stunning architecture. Beautiful attention to detail. It has the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. What a project. Ive got to say hats off to Daniel Levy. This has been worth the wait. I pray it looks as good when built!

I prefer to see it as evolution of the club.

This is the way football is these days, its get with it or fall behind. I think the whole project including the NFL deal looks fantastic.

The stadium is currently owned by enic the new stadium will be owned by enic there is no fucking difference. But rant away about how enic are destroying our club as much as you want.

Finally had 10 mins to look through the plans. Across the board its a more impressive project and looks of higher quality. Seems much more comprehensive and more thought has gone into it, and I cant wait to see more pictures of some of the things that are planned. I'm not usually a fan of so much glass etc. but I think with a bit of blue/white lighting it will be an impressive sight.

I was a tad non-plussed though about what I saw of the insides of the stadium and how the stands will look. The Kop I think should probably look a bit more dominant than it does and for me it doesn't look that special (early days though in terms of what we have seen plans-wise). Also I was half expecting a higher rake to the seating than that, but I expect they are following the law. But in the heat of the game though, how much of that matters...

All in all good stuff.

City can't fill their current stadium for a home game vs Barcelona so not sure why they're bothering.
Their fanbase is growing and the other thing is that their tickets are dirt cheap. One of the reasons why their atmosphere has been so shit is because there is a lot of people that aren't city fans inside the ground.

I would wait til the planning permission before having an opinion on the rake and etc.

It could be a lot more steeper than it looks

I think we should call it the Paolo Tramezzani Arena.

Has a nice ring to it.

Really, REALLY like the way the sides of the stadium look, not too keen on the roof but in general I like it better than the old design.

I'm not ranting, just asked a question.

You seem a bit touchy about it.

Anyway I have asked someone who knows and cares.
