What's Martin's deal with Mainz, is that transfer going to be made permanant? I thought I read somewhere, He's going for €10 mill plus a three mill clause.
Ha, your right, 3 days ago they confirmed the permeant signing..... for 6 mil euros! Thats a shockingly good deal. You would think that Poch who supposedly has contacts there would maybe tap them up.

I not sure if its been confirmed, i would be amazed if they don't get him as he has impressed. There is probably a clause in there.
seems like great business for Mainz. What's youre knowledge of the South American Leagues?

Not as good as it should be. I tend to watch more European leagues as its more easily accessible and not at stupid times at night.

Sander Berge has already been linked with us and I watched him making his international debut for Norway in Belfast (and the away game which he got 90 minutes in), his quality stood out to me. Would need to see a bit more of him, seemed a little too 'nice', I personally would much prefer someone with more bite in them as I think we are still far too nice in midfield.

Not Homegrown, but Dembele on the way out...unsure if he's quite at our level yet..and would be a sizeable fee/risk as he's well regarded.

interesting, do you have any player in mind that does have that nasty streak in him?

Denis Zakaria really impressed me when I watched him play for Switzerland against Northern Ireland, he looked like he could mix it as well as play. Very athletic, reminded me a bit of Viera.

(I would imagine lots of massive clubs would have him on their radar if their scouts have two eyes and half a brain)

The best holding midfielder in the world, has zero nasty streak in him. If you have the quality in ball retention and the mind to understand where the play is heading then you don't have to throw out rash challenges that will make a highlight reel.

The best (in your opinion), who doesn't necessarily have all the things (in my opinion) Tottenham need in midfield.

Calm down there Tex.

Midfield 3 of Eriksen, Busquets and Winks would be killer.

We're very different people, you and I.

Also, Busquets is nasty, horrible character tbh.

I'd say Winks has a nasty streak too, did you see him go in two footed against PSV. I do think the majority of top DM have nasty coursing through there game. Just look at our best midfielders over our recent times, Dembele, Wanyama, Dier, Sandro all had the ability to do some shady shit.

Good shout I believe he's bossing it at 'gladbach. I don't know his contract situation, but he seems like one we'll only be able to get if he runs down his contract.

Why did PSG ship him out?
What type of midfielder is he is he a Lamela, Eriksen or box to box.
Need money really. I think they were also having problems with their home grown numbers. Outside of defense they don't really give many minutes to the youth and they were struggling to keep their stars happy. He's an Eriksen who can also play well at CM, playing mostly there at PSG. He can play as a holding midfielder but really you want him further up the pitch. But you could play him on the right as well. Always seems to put in a shift. Left footed. He's a very exciting prospect and someone I really want us to get.

Would your ideal plan be to rotate him with Winks and then have him fill in as the prime creator when Eriksen is out?

I would also use him on the right of a middle attacking three if needed. We would still want a rough and tumble b2b but he's versatile and would work there.
