Who said that was what was going to happen? If Harry Kane leaves it won't be because in the summer of 2018 we didn't sign Anthony Martial or Wilfried Zaha. Fuck me

Thats certainly not what I was saying. I have little to no worries about Kane for the near future. But we had Walker leave already, Rose wanted to go, Toby who the hell knows, you're dreaming if you think this trend isn't stopping if we're going to pull shit like this.alright mate, whatever you say. You're right. Nobody said that

Definitely not, they’d want their pound of flesh from the likes of usWouldn’t want to loan anything off Madrid.
You'd honestly rather have nothing than loan Kovacic for a season?Wouldn’t want to loan anything off Madrid.
If desperate means getting the players they're getting I'd love to be desperate. This loan is dependent on Chelsea signing a backup GK. They're apparently set to bid for kepa, who in all honesty I've never heard of, for £70m. Chelsea are desperate, and it's showing.
Would you happily sell Hugo for £35m, then spend double that on an unproven GK to replace him?If desperate means getting the players they're getting I'd love to be desperate.

If Hugo was forcing a move to Real Madrid and money didn't matter (which it seemingly doesn't to them) sure, I'd take a shot at Kepa.Would you happily sell Hugo for £35m, then spend double that on an unproven GK to replace him?
And if Alli was forcing a move to Madrid, you'd happily sell him for £40m and buy grealish for £80m? I'm sure kepa isn't a bad keeper at all, but most of the fee is for potential. Selling a World Class GK for peanuts and spending double the fee you receive for him on potential is ridiculousIf Hugo was forcing a move to Real Madrid and money didn't matter (which it seemingly doesn't to them) sure, I'd take a shot at Kepa.
No because Grealish plays in the championship and Kepa plays against some of the best teams in the world. Regardless, you're taking my post a little to literally. Courtouis has forced their hand. And if Alli was forcing a move to Madrid, you'd happily sell him for £40m and buy grealish for £80m? Real have all the leverage in that deal, why would they loan them Kovacic? Courtouis has made it clear he will walk on a free if they don't sell him to Real right now.Real are only loaning him to the Chavs to make sure they get Courtois. If we were involved they'd want someone back to 'sweeten the deal'.

Is he a Madrid reject or is he behind the two best CM's in the world?I think he's over rated, plays a bit like Modric but fundamentally not as good.
Also when you think of 'Madrid rejects' who try to crack the premiership they tend to be not quite as fantastic as the hype suggested, thinking Ozil, Morata, Di Maria.
I also think mentally it is better to get a player who sees the move to Spurs as a step up as opposed to a Real Madrid player who sees it as a downgrade. I know Vdv could be seen as an exception to the above but I think even he legged it as soon as AVB suggested maybe working a bit harder.
Spurs' recent success has been built out of players striving to make it, I don’t think Real Madrid loans doing us a favour by turning up for a single season are particularly helpful to that mentality.
Much rather develop Winks, Onomah, Amos and particularly Skipp, while at the same thing time trying to squeeze an extra year from Dembele.
