yep - feel bad for spence ....the world beater from 1st division who hasn't played more than 50 pro games yet ....our savious is getting the short end of the stick ....our coach is so dumb & pathetic and 1 dimensional.. I really don’t know how people have watched the football we play on the ball and thought it’s useful, there’s been a lot of excuses made like “Conte’s patterns of play” etc etc it’s a load of bollocks. The quicker you move the ball the more likely you are to open up an opponent

It worked last season because Kulusevski is brilliant, he's the outlet, he knows when to hold onto the ball and when to increase the tempo and everyone responds accordingly.

Conte now has to adapt asap because the patient build up won't work as well as it previously did because if the opposition increase their tempo the team tends to shrink and panic.

Romero is a shadow of the player he was last season, just looks like he’s terrified of getting injured, which is fine unless you consider that he gets paid an awful lot of money to play for us, not for Argentina

Issue is it tends to happen whenever we play a decent team. Which is a good indication we’re simply not as good as we might think.

To be fair, last season I kept hearing we beat the good teams but couldn’t beat the dross. This year we can beat the dross but can’t beat the good teams.

Perhaps we’re just a team who beat enough teams (regardless of quality) to finish between 3rd and 6th every year.

Livid, another bottle job against one of the better teams,but not the elite. Son non existent, PEH worst game this season, Bissouma very erratic, as a whole so careless in possession and not enough urgency when we had not got it.
Really concerned about Sons form, he is miles off his best, like playing with 10 men tonight. Lloris and Bentantcur only two who excelled in any way at all, Bentantcur for effort, Lloris for keeping us in the game.

Without a playmaker, we no longer make simple through ball down the middle. We keep relying on balls from the flanks yet we have such pathetic wingbacks and poor crossing techniques. Utter stubbornness.

The first half wasn’t so bad.

The second half was possibly the worst display in the last couple of years, no passion, no drive, bottled it all and had no answers.

Conte needs big questions answering on why his teams get battered in the big games this season.

It's not just big games.
We have grinded out a lot of results so far with out looking good.

Great when it happened, but then you get a game like this....

Yeah, that’s his responsibility too. You need well functioning patterns of play to keep the ball in this modern game. He knows how ETH plays and should have prepared for their pressing

I see this comment a lot, whilst I agree he gave us some great times, we also played some appalling Football under his leadership.

The last manager I really enjoyed watching us under was Redknapp. That Football used to make my balls tingle.

Our peak under Poch was a lot better than our peak under Harry (which was great at times but clearly surpassed by Poch’s 16/17 team).

Painful to see Eriksen in a red shirt with this performance from us tonight, when the team is so obviously crying out for a player like him. Why we didn't try to get him is completely beyond me.

We have one of the best managers in the world, more or less gave him the players he wanted, and still we play like this. Utterly infuriating.
