I still can't shake what I witnessed on Wednesday night. Just a spineless, limp and pathetic game we played. Completely downed tools after the first 10 minutes. A victory on Sunday is the only cure for this

This chart shows just how shit we always are against teams who we let 'press' us all over the pitch. It's a real shocker. WE should be pressing THEM.

This has to change surely...

It's not Levy we should be questioning though, it's the judgements of both Conte and Paratici because they are jointly responsible for all the recruitment. Levy just provides the money.

If anyone has any verifiable proof that this is NOT the way it works at THFC, then let's have it!

From the Sky Sports commentary:

“Chelsea’s front three of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount have had just 30 touches between them. Manchester United have cut their supply off at the source, and the trio are mere bystanders.”

Sound familiar? Our issue was that our midfield couldn't keep the ball long enough to get it to our attackers.

Eriksen and Casemiro are apparently dominating the Chelsea midfield. Man Utd always had good players. Now they've acquired two key midfielders and ten Hag has got them all playing together.

Look at how the game has changed since kovacic has come in though. Absolute world class cm, something we simply don’t have.

Not just that but switching to 2 at the back so no need to sacrifice from the midfield or upfront when a defender is being wasted. Something we seem to be incapable of. Granted our centre backs are usually more involved in an attacking sense than Chelsea's.

4-2-3-1 is such a flexible formation. Saw some posts saying our defenders are more suited to a back 3 but the rest of our players are kinda suffering and limited by a back 3 formation. Hate to say it, but our best games under Poch days were a very effective and exciting 4-2-3-1 like the current United side ?
