If we are a bit more clinical on the counter and as resolute defensively as we were against Arsenal we can get a result here. We could have been 3-0 up in the first half with better final balls.

COYS.

I'll be happy if we can keep it tight for the first 13 seconds. Anything else would be a bonus.

Anything less then a 6-0 loss is an improvement in my eyes.

Like many have already said, were probably going to loose but aslong as we play well and for eachother I'm happy

yup. it's all about the performance. as spurger king said it's a free game that we should expect to lose 99/100. as long as we show plenty of heart and guts i'm not fussed although i'd be in a fap-coma with even a point.

I remember not so long ago we used to have a good record of playing Man C, we would always do well up there. I recall a cracking Tommy H half volley up there not so long ago. It's a shame that over the 5-6 years since, the gap has grown.

or Aguero for that matter.

yeah but I picked Dawson, because I remember clearly him coming on late at WHL when it was 1-1 and Dzeko beat him to a ball he should have had and scored the winner. That doesn't even take into consideration the hat trick he scored at WHL with poor Michael looking for the exits.

Yes I agree with you but I am just making the point that Aguero was Dawsons nemesis. A small, quick, strong, skillful striker. I remember him twisting Dawson inside and out when they did us 5-0(I think) at the Lane under Harry.

GODDAMMIT!!! The Missus and kids are going away for a week starting Saturday, so there's me envisaging a lovely weekend of football unbothered.

Turns out they have to be at the airport (40 mins drive away) at 13h30!!!! So i will spend the first 1/2 driving to the airport, and the 2nd 1/2 driving back!!!

And i can't seem to record on my new TV system

get them to the airport at 1130 and explain its to help with the time difference, don't take any cash so you can only stay in the drop off point for ten mins. sorted :)

Very little optimism from me on this one. If City turn up I don't see how we'll cope unless Poch has managed to do wonders during the international break.

I'm fucking irritated that this game is on bloody BT Sport. I am now going to have to make the 5 minute walk to the pub instead...meaning probably a whole afternoon in the pub.

I mean for fucks sake!

Pity there aren't more players injured for Man City especially silva as he pretty much conducts the tempo of the games . We have to hope toure has another lazy one and we pressurise them loads and get some counter attacking goals.

To be honest Aguero on his day is unplayable. Kaboul and Yan will not sleep much tonight

I think we can get a positive result up there. The international break might work in our favour. I think we have to be positive as we all have no expectation.

oh and if we could all offer something to the universe. that would be great.

You may even be trapped in there until closing time. What a bitch.

I really do think this will be a tight game. Yes they'll probably win but its not going to be a hammering.

Wouldn't be one bit surprised if its 0-0 at half time. City have started the season very sluggishly. Was looking at the amount of first half goals they've scored to, its like 6 or something compared to 29 last season at the same stage of the season - think that's right.

Toure looks a shadow of the player he was last season to. So often their driving force from the middle of the pitch. Against Villa, even though he scored late on, he was easily their worst player. Would be surprised if his form picks up this weekend after the traveling.

Silva is the one I would assign someone to mark all game. Constantly looking for space and its him who makes them tick.

I think they'll edge it 2-1.

I've just remortgaged by house and stuck all my savings on us winning tomorrow.
That's how much faith I have in Poch and the Lads.

On a serious note though, it means we have to put up with fucking Michael 'dullard' Owen's co-commentary
