Man, i wish. But my wife is freakin' scary! She can kill a man stone dead from 50 yards with a single lash of her forked tongue

My first wife could do that, I always wondered what happened to her ;)

GODDAMMIT!!! The Missus and kids are going away for a week starting Saturday, so there's me envisaging a lovely weekend of football unbothered.

Turns out they have to be at the airport (40 mins drive away) at 13h30!!!! So i will spend the first 1/2 driving to the airport, and the 2nd 1/2 driving back!!!

And i can't seem to record on my new TV system

Tell her there are roadworks on the way to the airport so you'll have to leave at 11. Say you'd hate for her to be late and that it will give her time for a nice lunch and, most importantly, some shopping at the airport. 40 mins each way, 10 mins to say farewell, back at 12.30 for kick off.
Sorted.

Lets make sure in the first 15 seconds of the game.

- Everyone has their boots tied correctly.
- Socks comfortable and pulled up.
- Shorts correct
- Shirts tucked in/whatever personal preference is
- Alert and wanting the ball
- Doesn't go all the way back to Lloris
- If it does, he kicks it properly
- Our guys react if we do give it away
- The ball doesn't end up in our net.

Anything after that is progress on last year!

I watched most of their game at home to Stoke. They were very flat and got done on the break several times.

Where's Yaya been recently? I know Aguero's been on a long trip to Beijing breathing in smog. Silva? Dem tree are the ones to watch, although Dzeko has always mugged Kaboul off. Come on Younes, prove me wrong...
Yaya's been playing for Ivory Coast against DR Congo and, like Aguero (and Lamela), isn't expected to get back in time for Saturday's game. Despite that fact that Toure's a undeniably beast, I sense that he's not been particularly motivated or effective this season, so his absence may be a mixed blessing.

While I understand that you were joking, that isn't going to happen this time. Watch any of our kick-offs: the ball basically gets rugby kicked down the wings. Maybe we could score within 15 seconds this time?

Looking forward to this one, as I'm going up and staying in Manchester with a few lads.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but if it goes tits up like last season, at least I've got all day and night in Manchester to drink the pain away! COYS!

Possibly the only fixture where a defeat means absolutely nothing to me. Win or draw? Fantastic. Defeat isn't even really a loss as far as I'm concerned...just a case of the richest 'club' in the world buying another 3 points. Oil Money FC should be 'winning' every game they play, and buying every trophy they're in the running for. Anything less, considering what they've spent over the last few seasons, is a failure.

I was extremely pessimistic prior to the arse anal game and we nearly came away with all three points in that one. Hopefully Mauricio's man management has worked wonders on them and we at least show some fight and passion.

It is just our bad luck anytime we show a semblance of coming into good form, our progress is disrupted by international break and we have to start all over again.

This.

Same with Chelsea. They aren't real football clubs so if we lose to them it's easy to let it slide.

The wage bills at those two clubs are beyond a joke. Paying someone 300k per week is why they attract the best players.

It's the pretending otherwise that winds me up!

To be honest, though, City fans I've met are pretty cool about it - they are just enjoying the ride, as I would be. They appreciate that they've struck gold and don't really try to hide it. Fair play. I have to say that they also have a habit of signing players I really love watching - players I wish we had! I particularly like Aguero, he's a wonderful striker and works so hard for the team.

On the other hand, however, most Chelsea fans I have met deal with this completely differently...

It's as if they've chosen to forget that football existed before 2003 and that they were essentially a nothing club before that point. It's as if they were hoping that after 10 years of Abramovich people would forget how they got there and they would suddenly become credible.

It obviously doesn't help that their classless egotist of a manager constantly feeds their arrogance via the media, as if he's deliberately playing the role of an exaggerated example of the cretins he represents. When he referred last season to a squad with the largest wage bill in the EPL as a 'little horse', I actually heard Chelsea fans treating the comment seriously and agreeing with him. Seriously.

It's embarrassing when you hear them trying to tell you how they are 'well run' and the latest bleat of this ilk is how they 'balanced the books' last summer due to the transfer fees they managed to recoup.

Yeah mate, because Diego Costa, Fabregas, Zouma, Remy, Felipe Luiz and Courtois don't earn more money than most clubs' entire fucking squads!

Honestly, they don't seem to understand how it works, it's the equivalent of watching a fat bloke sucking in his gut for a photo...

But I digress... :)

We'll lose on Saturday but as long as we put on a good show, I won't care.

I see another City Thrashing - I have this as an improvement from last season - 5 nil. Fat Frank to get a couple ( should be a good bet).
