Kind of explains what we tried to do and the thinking behind the way we setup yesterday. I personally think we'd missed Son massively as he's always trying o get in behind and would have provoded an out ball, anyway:

Makes you wonder why Moura didn't start to be honest, only time in the games I got excited were when he picked up the ball, we could have sacrificed Eriksen who wasn't able to get on the ball in this type of game with Lamela offering a bit more defensively.

Man for man surely City are not that much better than us. Swap the managers for a year and I reckon Pep would be doing better than Poch. I'm afraid we don't look inspired more tired.
In fairness they do have a huge talented squad but we also have a decent squad although not as deep talent wise but I do get your point regarding what pep gets out of his team in terms of workrate and intensity.
I think what got us over the line yesterday was the same as our CL run and that is sheer bloody minded resilience and heart fine qualities but we need more than our slow predictable build up.

Was he I wouldn't know
At no point was he behind our back line and I thought it was hard to tell if he was behind the ball when it was played ?
All I know is normally replays will check that he was onside and on this occasion nothing was said/checked at all.
Just seemed odd is all.

Even so a point away to them at the beginning of the season when we are not settled yet is a bonus and I for one was thrilled with it.
I cant understand people moaning about us not playing like barca

He was clearly behind the ball, new glasses needed fellas. It wasn't checked because it was glaringly obvious.

Possibly to run at tired legs, not sure?

Were you running the line then ? ;)
Because the camera angles I saw didn't make it very obvious at all.
Ohh and your right my eyesight is appalling :geek:

Just watched MOTD, Murphy is scathing about us. Knob. I know we got battered but we got a point. I’ll be amazed if many/any teams get more than that there this season

The knobs didn't even discuss or show Lamela's equaliser as far as I can remember - just all City pity apart from Lucas leap like a salmon Moura's goal.

For me it shows how many spurs fans have a negative view of almost every aspect of our play and it really annoys me they seem to want us to be Real Madrid or Barcelona . With the squad we have we are doing the best we can Top four in the league for the last four years and champions league finalist . We have in my view been punching above our weight and instead of bemoaning Saturdays performance we should be praising the guts and resilience shown on Saturday albeit with luck . I have seen games where we have been on top as much as city were and lost ( witness the Newcastle game a few years ago) we were pummelled by the media for not scoring and Newcastle praised for their resilience it seems like double standards to me .
Also I can say some of you should get real I have been going to WHL since 1951 and except for the Nicholson years this is the best time to be a spurs fan . I may be wrong but the older fans who have seen great years and average years and downright awful years would agree with me and I think that maybe the newer fans who have a higher view of how we should perform .
For me I will judge at the end of the season and not after two yes two games .
Add the birkenshaw years to the good times.

I just asked and it's done by using clocks (As I thought).
I dont know why I'm arguing but this is wrong.
In 2017 Opta created a new “framework” called a possession. This method counts how many possessions a team has in an entire game and dividing it by the total per game.

Opta defines a possession as starting when a player takes a controlled touch, this does not include headers or tackles and ending when a player no longer has or tries to have control of the ball. This includes interceptions, shots crosses into areas and set pieces.

Either way 99% of the stats have it at around 55-45. We were under the kosh most of the game as we did nothing with our possession bar score 2 goals from 2 shots plus one speculative effort from harry at the half way line

Don't like saying it but after the evidence of yesterday don't think we will be PL winners this season, on the plus side though, in our last three games at the Etihad we have now scored five goals which is pretty good going.

Who the fuck are these twats?
Clinton Morrison is the black fella, ex pro and Spurs fan.
The gobby twat dancing at the beginning is an Arsenal fan who actually cried and put it on the internet when Arsenal didn't buy the players he wanted a few seasons ago...a grown fucking man.

I think we already knew that we wouldn't be title winner's this season top four qualification is the priority.
