Did he not play under Bielsa for Marseille, a manager who has similar traits to Poch?
for 1 season. Bielsa only lasted one full season (sacked after the opening game of the next). And Payet's numbers were almost the same as the year before.

I don't know what that means in regards to being a Poch player though, I would have thought that if he can survive in a high pressing Bielsa team he can probably last in Poch's but then again his attitude and wages comes into question and if he's refusing to play for West Ham then he's not a good fit for us in that respect.

I don't think an inconsistent 29yr old is going to be high on Spurs' list. WHU will want big money and even bigger - or simply a flat out refusal - from a rival.

If he goes, it will be back to France with Marseille or maybe he'll just FO to China for a big payday.

Go back and give Lurkka some love for this post as quite frankly this is hilarious and I don't want it getting missed in the Payet storm :p

I don't think he'll go to China yet - he's already getting a big payday at West Ham on his £120k/week contract!

I don't think it's about him surviving in a high press, I think it's more about his mentality, which saw him being labelled as flaky early on in his career and bouncing around French clubs. Plays well when trying to get into the French squad for the Euros, and now can't be bothered. I think he'd be way too much hassle for the price it would take to get him out of West Ham.

They talk about Marseille as if it would a step down from them.........they really do need to realise their place in the football hierarchy - he blatantly only went to west ham for the money otherwise he'd have stayed at Marseille and been competing for trophies and in europe every year.

What are the chances that none of the players are still playing for us when their month comes around. Carroll retires through injury - Collins through old age - Cresswell, Antonio and Reid gone in the summer window?

If I were to go by KUMB Id say West Ham is in for a rough time after they sell Payet and fire Bilic and the board, but who am I to argue with such wholesale changes, if they want to revamp their club as the premiere championship outfit who are we to judge?

I couldn't quite believe that WHU's official website actually posted that so went to take a look....
Found this beauty too! Lays in to the team and then urges the fans to get behind them. Oh, and tickets are still available.

We simply have to concede that last night’s performance was just not good enough.

Manchester City may be an excellent attacking side, but we allowed them to carve us open time and time again, which was very disappointing.

Although it's hard to take any positives out of the game, for 25 minutes, until we conceded what many experts thought was a marginal penalty, we were holding our own.

Furthermore, at 1-0 down we had what seemed a simple tap-in to equalise, but the performance after that, and the result, was simply not good enough.

However, it was excellent to see so many young faces there and, thanks to the kids for a quid initiative, a 57,000 capacity crowd at London Stadium.

It makes me extremely proud to know that we have a fanbase who will fill our stadium for a match on a Friday night, live on BBC One, just two weeks after Christmas. It is something that not many other clubs in the country can boast.

Unfortunately, the team could not provide a performance befitting of such a good turnout.

We haven't lost any key or influential players since last season, which was one to remember, so we are all currently struggling to understand why the team is under-performing at this moment in time.

We know we have to improve quickly, and upcoming fixtures against Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough now become cup finals. As we showed over Christmas, though, a string of good results can move you up the Premier League table very quickly, and I am confident we will be heading in that direction over the coming weeks.

I know it can be difficult at times like this, but I urge every supporter to get behind the team and manager – just as you have done all season. We have seen performances improve recently, even in defeat at Leicester City and against Manchester United, so I truly believe we can continue to progress if we all push in the same direction.

It's another London derby next weekend against Crystal Palace, which brings back memories of our 1-0 win in the reverse fixture at Selhurst Park, where we began to turn our season around earlier in the campaign.

We will also welcome back our former manager Sam Allardyce, in what will be an exciting encounter for many reasons.

There are still tickets available for the clash on our Ticket Exchange facility, so click here to purchase yours for what will hopefully be an opportunity to do the double over the Eagles.

Marseille was almost relegated last season?

They really have fucked themselves up the arse good and proper this season, I don't blame Payet for wanting to leave, they offered him a massive contract and he took it but if I were him I'd be looking at what is going on around the club from the chairman, the stadium, the performances, it's just utter turmoil so you can't really blame him for wanting out, the club are a shambles.

You've lost Payet,
Dimitri Payet,
I just don't think you understand,
Your stadium's a sham,
He fucking hates West Ham,
you've lost Dimitri Payet
