And the latest rumour is that Keegs wants to sign St Etienne's unfortunately-named striker Gomis.

Meanwhile, Martins has revealed that he had no idea of who Keegan was.

Apparently going to football matches for Geordies is like Southerners going to the threatre?

I don't get it.

I've been to the theatre a couple of times... but I went to enjoy myself - not see a bunch of hopeless losers run around looking clueless embarassing themselves...

Were you piss drunk and shirtless

But I thought Martins was old enough to remember who Keegan was

I will do know such thing. Do you not rate Shay Given then?

Apparently he's nowhere near as popular with the Geordie support as you might think. He's also currently the most injury-prone keeper in the EPL; even Biscuit-Fingers Kirkland has played more games over the past two seasons.

good point, we already have 2 injury prone defenders, we probably don't need a injury prone goalkeeper. Personally I can't see why the Geordies wouldn't like him though, the past couple of seasons he has single handedly kept them up

The name of this thread should be changed to "Lets all chuckle quietly at Newcastle" because we don't have a whole pile to laugh about today.

Thank god for Keegan, only he and his merry men could improve this day ever so slightly.

I want Newcastle and Birmingham to go down with Derby.

Sadly, it looks like Birmingham are just too good...
