Yeah I agree. Maybe if they'd gone for him in the summer, sold him a dream and promised him players, but right now there's a lot of risk.

First job at a big club with massive egos, no pre-season and a chairman who will sack him at the drop of a hat. Not enough to risk walking away from a top-4 Brighton IMO.

I reckon they'll end up with Poch personally. Don't think Zidane would come to England.

Bery likely.

It was blatantly obvious most of those players were not his picks, they were far too scatter gun. Knowing Tuchel it won't be long before he gives his side of things one way or another.

Think it was the beginning of the end for Tuchel regardless, but dropping almost 300m on players to suit a specific system then sacking the manager 7 days after the window shuts...? I thought he would've got more time to try and piece things together.

So who can they get? Potter or Poch seem the two obvious candidates but is Potter going to walk out on Brighton at the start of the season when he's just witnessed how trigger happy Boehly is? The bloke's even more ruthless than Abramovic.
The timing is nuts, maybe they fell out?

Makes me wonder who is available that would go there knowing how Chelsea are, they surely want a big name experienced manager to manage that collection of players.

LOL Boehly's absolutely insane. Who tf they're going to get? At this point of the season nonetheless??

They look completely rudderless. Boehly seems to be flailing from one decision to the next! Hilarious stuff.

Genuinely wouldn’t be surprised to see him do something ludicrous like putting Terry in charge, or getting in a random yank.

Not sure this is a good thing - hope they dont go for Potter as id like him if and when Conte leaves eventually.
Surely the safest way to ensure that Potter becomes Spurs manager one day is if he manages Chelsea first? :p

Huge sliding doors moment for Chelsea, this.

Look at the difference between us and Utd last season following our respective manager changes.

If they get this right, given their squad, they could challenge for top 2 in the league. If they get it wrong they challenging for the Conference League next year.

So will Tuchel replace Conte when he goes? Seeing our track record of hiring ex Chelsea managers( AvB, Mourinho, Conte etc)

If he’s still available then why not?

He is still one of the top 5 managers in the world and was a Spurs fan growing up ?

Hopefully Conte sticks around for a while though.

I had a feeling this would happen a few weeks back. They will want to bring in their man.

Of the names linked I would much rather Poch went there than Potter tbh. I really rate Potter and don't want him going near that cesspit. Poch will improve them but don't think he will get them back to the top. He has been linked with Sevilla this week so could be Chelsea going quickly to try and get him?

I don't really see any other names out there they could go for really. Potter is the clear non big 6 manager, ready to step up. Poch is the big manager out of work, are we missing anyone?

Potter could be in with a shout for the England job if Southgate leaves after the world cup. If he takes the Chelsea job he would probably be ruling himself out. No Idea if he'd be interested in it though.
