Welcome to the Leicester City v Spurs Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

Wouldn't be against Royal playing there. He is comfortable on the ball to bring it out of defence. And gives Porro a start at RWB.

Fully expect Sanchez to start though

They're not going to play like city and look to dominate possession and wait for us to make a mistake. Ideally after beating city you'd expect any team to push on and keep it going, but you just never know. Can see Porro coming in in place of Romero, but big onus on us to force the tempo and pick up the points. Following this game with two home derbies, so based on today and what's ahead we should be pushing for 12 points from February.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Dier Lenglet Davies here.

Bit of a shame that we might meet a team who’s form is turning around, Maddison back and new Brazilian forward looks really good.

Just two rest days between this game and San Siro away (Milan has three) - wonder if Conte might do a little bit of rotation here.

I think we need to rotate. Rest Son, hojberg.

We need a result but I honestly would play Emerson RCB, porro RWB.

lloris
Emerson, Dier, Davies
Porro, biss, Benta, Sess
kulu Kane Danjuma

I’d even be tempted to play Kulu richie danjuma

Leicester have got a bit of momentum. We make more than a couple of changes think we will struggle

This game is huge for us, would be a third consecutive win in the league (which i think we havent done this season) and right before the UCL game and 2 consecutive home games with West Ham and Chelshit. A win here and we are really looking good. Also expecting some more rotation from now on, as we have solid options from the bench

That amount of rotation rarely works, it can be unsettling.

We've got the best part of the week to recover and prepare for Leicester, so I would expect a very similar line up to yesterday.

Lloris
Sanchez Dier Davies
Royal Hojbjerg Bentancur Perisic
Kulu Kane Son

There may be a couple players that Conte will want to rest before Milan, those who are bit older and more important like Perisic, Son and Kane, and I reckon they will be subbed off earlier than normal as long as we are not trying to chase a goal.

I doubt Conte will change anything that isn't forced on him. Only really Sanchez coming in for Romero. Hope he brings in a few for AC though, otherwise what's the point in complaining about lack of squad depth like he was doing in the past?

3 players is hardly a lot of rotation when one is forced.
The point is son and hojberg are not great when fatigued so if we run them into the ground we will struggle as usual.

Rest Sonny just when he looks like he is getting back to somewhere near his best.
Conte doesn’t really do rotation, especially not when we have a week between games.

A week between City and this, no need for rotation. Leicester City is Kanes playground. Son is looking sharper in the last two weeks. We're looking more solid defensively.

Milan is going to be cagey anyway so a bit of rotation there wouldn't surprise me more, Richy in for Sonny and Danjuma for Kulu maybe but the next game is always the most important and that's Leicester

Doesn't feel like a good time to play Leicester although they did score from 4 out of 5 shots on target against Villa and their first goal was given to them on a plate so I think the 4-2 score line was a bit flattering.

I'm a bit torn on the whole Royal/Porro situation after Royal's MOTM performance. Feels like terrible squad management to drop him after that but I also feel like we could really use a player like Porro marauding down the right in a game like this. I suppose the sensible move would be to give Royal 60-odd and ease Porro in to his debut against tired Leicester legs.

I expect the only change will be Tanganga or Sanchez in for Romero. No need to overthink it beyond that.

Im not sure that is true. Their results haven't exactly been great, including losing 2-0 against forest.

I get they have Maddison and tete back but they are still crap defensively and everyone of Leicesters goals was just crap defending.

Yeah not saying they're suddenly a great team but compared to a few weeks ago when they were losing non-stop they're in a better place.

They have their best player Maddison back, a new signing in Tete that has the fans excited and actually have a win under their belt to give them a bit of confidence.

I think with regards to Emerson and Porro, it's a nice problem to have and it will depend on how the opposition set up and how the game is going. If we need to attack and are on top then Porro is ideal, while if we need to defend then Emerson as he showed on Sunday and last season is more than capable.

The way Leicester play, as harsh as it is on Emerson, I wouldn't mind seeing Porro given a start.

Good luck to those playing on the left, Tete is fast and doesn't stop moving.

Villa's defending/mistakes last weekend against these were something else.

Hopefully we can continue our momentum. Kane likes a goal against these.
