Do you have an quantitative evidence to back this supposition up?

i've seen premiership footballers do coke... its not uncommon for younger players coming up to sell drugs either, i know of an international footballer who used to sell crack.

I cant talk about football but I know of alot of artists that do that and yet are painted in the daily mail as a great role model and their poster girl, does make me laugh

Alot of people including journos know this but its not in their "interests" to print the story

Agree mate, it's pretty rife in most industrys I'd say.

I know it's rife in football, as I've seen a few young players ruin their career's because of it, and had their first line on the team bus after a game (professional game this is).

Doesn't surprise me. Always seemed to be really up himself on Twitter, considering how average he is as a footballer.

Professional sports people require tip top levels of fitness and clarity, mind and body, & recording artists (I assume you are referring to recording artists) don't.

Absolutely stupid. Given he's someone who wasn't the most gifted and has had to work hard for his career its even more idiotic to put throw that away.

Idiotic, especially when they should know that they can be randomly drug tested both in and out of competition.

It can affect their voice and cause career threatening conditions and as an artists you do need your "mind" to be clear. As dropping off the cliff could result in your career being over and pissing off the wrong people

I don't disagree, in principle, but it is funny how the greatest player there has ever been (Maradona) didn't really have any of those things in bold.

Even today with players like Suarez you can't say they have clarity of mind, then again, I can't say they don't. Who does, right?

Coke only stays about for a day or two so he must've been really unlucky

It may only stay in the blood stream that long but the compulsive bullshitting seems to continue for weeks .

The bullshitting is just a dead give away .

Also worth noting he hasn't had the opportunity to defend himself and this can be potentially a false positive

Yep I suspect a lot of journalists would have to very careful about bad-mouthing cocaine use.
