Yeah I just saw that on COYS myself.

Just a reminder guys that all the normal rules apply when discussing ITK.

The day I listen to ITK is the day the monkey from the PG Tips adverts becomes Prime Minister.

If you don't like the message don't come into the thread. Dragon1 is one of the more respected ITKs.

Fair enough Nidge. Really can't see this being true though. Not from what we've heard from the man himself lately.

thanks for the info - Dragon is the only ITK I trust 100%

so if she (I believe that dragon is a she ) says this _ then I'm inclined to believe it - especially as it fits with a lot circumstantial evidence

I think it's for the best all round if Berbs goes ealy for £25m+

I still don't understand how the @Webster Law' plays in all this if we're trying to keep him (and valuing him at £40m is surely blocking any move)

To be honest, I'm still holding out on the hope that when/if Berbs leaves, we simply won't be able to rely on him to score/create half our goals, and so we'll actually be a better team for it. Maybe, in the same way some of Arsenal's players came out of their shells when Henry left, I'll be hoping the same happens with us. We're so 1 dimentional at times, almost expecting that Berbatov will bail us out once again.

At the end of the day, if we get between £30m and £40m, that'll go very nicely towards a new midfield - which to my mind would be far better in the long run than to try and splash out on a direct replacement (if that's at all possible). If he wants to go, let Levy do his thing - get as much money as possible out the deal, and let Ramos truly build his own team.

Just to add I fully support the PG Tips monkey for Prime Minister (He can't do any worse than the pile of shite we have in charge at the moment.)

The fact that dragon1 has not really been heard from for some time but (judging by previous sightings) seemed to be pretty close to the decision-making heart of the club, makes me suspect this is a pre-emptive strike from the board to soften the blow when Berba goes.

If so, I'm sure Levy will negotiate the highest possible price, which I think will be at least £30 million. However, the fee may include players, particularly if it's a Spanish purchaser and Ramos is able to use his knowledge of squad players at Real Madrid or Barca to secure top up-and-coming talent.

well time will tell - but Dragon has a great track record and to me it makes sense about Berbs wanting out - the bit about £40m mmm - it sounds reasonable as a starting point for negotiations (unless the Webster Law will affect the contract) -

Well, it depends which dragon1 we're talking about....

Mods- this is not a personal attack on an ITK, but dragon1's "voice" did seem to change last autumn and was even known to lapse into cryptic song lyrics.

This new dragon1 ITK about Berba "sounds" more like the original voice.
