we could probably improve on Blae as a Defender, but dont think we can complain! still a good player and getting better (once fit anyway) was thinking the same thing earyer and its a great feeling just thining about the team and defence we could ahve next season!!! just maybe keeper ad mifield needs abit of sorting out!

Its really about the whole team playing well defensively and not just the back four. The other day we played against Chelsea with Hutton, Woodgate and King in the side and we let in four goals. Im sure people will blame Chimo and Robbo for everything but its not that simple.

i think the thing to consider is the reserve back four....

doesnt matter how good the back four is if our midfield isnt addressed in the summer
malbranque (he was poor yesterday all tho everyone will say im wrong cos he gets bummed on here when he really isnt that creative watching him recently and holds onto the ball far too long) and jenas both need replacing as they are too inconsistent which allows our midfield to be dominated at times, and lennon may go to as he really cant cross the ball
also its wishful thinking king and woody will stay fit all season so we need another top class centre back
jury is still out on robbo too, made a fantastic save from davis yesterday yet flapped as kanu ran in...
but yeah that is a sexy defense infact its my back four on fifa atm :wink:

If all stay fit I'd think our defensive record may well improve a tad. Couldn't really think of any player i'd want over any of those if they stay fit. Except mabye dani alves over hutton but seriously being picky there, hutton is class. yea quality back 4. Mabye replace The legend king with jarque though if King is still not fit enough.
