I've been thinking this myself, going to Citeh and winning stuff ain't no great shakes, just a cog in a very expensive machine. I'd respect him more if he went to United and took them to the title.

Great players bring trophies.

Unless they are spurs it seems :(

Kane pretty much gets 20+ on his own now.

You really don't think he could do it with KDB, Foden, Mahrez, Gundogan, etc assisting him? Have you seen the amount of chances City creates every game?
He won’t score more there, it’s not how they play and these days it’s not he plays either.

Exactly that's my point Aguero had shit load of creative players too.

I don't see how anyone can "wish him all best" if he goes to a rival in England. I certainly hope he wins nothing, personally or team wise.

Also he isnt a total club legend in my eyes, again, he is choosing to leave to get easy trophies in a rival team. Club legends don't do that, sorry. I know everyone likes to be all fair these days, if Gerrard had gone to Chelsea he wouldn't be revered like he is now at Liverpool.

Sums our club up that someone who upped up and leaves, broke no club records and won F all with us (although not really his fault, eventhough he was part of the team) can be deemed a club legend.

No way in my eyes, I'm a Tottenham fan, and anyone on here who can honestly hope he goes on a wins the PL and finishes as the record scorer away from our club clearly isnt behind the badge as much as they think they are.

I see his thinking, dont get me wrong, we are a shambles. But please dont start putting him on a pedestal that he hasnt reached

We have big holes throughout the team. Kane is also part of the problem and we can't dissolve him from the failures.

Levy has work to do.

But surely part of the problem is that then you get players who are treated differently and there's no meritocracy. Who deserved to come off today, Son or Bergwijn? Yet Son is considered undroppable and has been run into the ground because of it.
Well it worked for us, as we won promotion. Some players left as they were resentful towards those who were leading and they weren't missed either. We promoted some players from the u17s and took on a couple of new players, who when entering the club saw the standard.

Those who are professional won't be resentful, they'll fight to get on the right side.

But that’s part of my point. Those are the types of games where the Messi’s and Ronaldo’s stand up. When the team is on the back foot, they’ll produce a moment of absolute magic when it really matters. Kane doesn’t do that.

It’s easier for Messi to stand up when he’s in the best Barca team of all time with Xavi and Iniesta behind him. What about the World Cup final? Gareth Bale has had more impact in CL finals than CR7. The one absolutely huge game Kane played for us he was unfortunately unfit, and the conditions were bad for everyone.

I sense that we'll make a number of signings in the window. ITK will hear from the club that they have no plans to sell Kane. We won't show any intent of selling Kane while signing players so the asking price doesn't shoot up for signings. Then we'll sell Kane near the end of the window to City. I think some ITK were getting messages that Bale was staying before. The same will happen with Kane. Hopefully we do better with the incoming this time.

You can't fail top 4 and win 0 trophies and expect to keep players like Kane. This season under Jose was the last throw of the dice trying to win something with Kane here. Maybe Kane believed Jose would be the man but considering we're the only club to not win a trophy with Jose, I think Kane had no belief left. He wanted to work with a top manager in Jose and win trophies but it didn't work. I suspect he wants to work with Pep now. I can't criticise his ambition. It's just going to be hard seeing him at another PL club.

His timing was absolutely bloody infuriating.
Probably but maybe he wanted to brace the fans so this didn't come as a complete shock that this is his last game at home. It's going to feel weird to look back at tonight as his final game. Has to be the worst final home game a player of his calibre has been involved in.

When you complain about winning not trophies and then you perform so woefully in every final you've been in I don't think you have the right to point at anyone else.

We have all seen players, like Gerrard, who have the ability to carry their teams through an entire season and then do it again in a cup final... Kane hasn't done that.

A pretty gutting night for everyone even if he does stay. Need to keep him & get a forward thinking manager to spark some life into the club again. Was a horrible night for all involved with the club, no direction and no fight

So Kane isn’t as good as Messi or Ronaldo. Tell us something we don’t know.

The only way and the only point in keeping him is IF we are going to invest particularly invest enough to bridge the gap - which i simply cant see. No point if we arent going to invest as all we are doing is prolonging the inevitable. I appreciate there are factors outside of the pitch for keeping him. There will be some regret in all this and he hasnt been perfect but he cant do it all himself. He has delivered this season in terms of goals and assists.

I know ITK's have their opinion that he will stay another season but we've been here before with Bale and after that lap of 'honour' it appears Kane believes that was his send off!

Kane deserves to be allowed to go an win trophies end of. Look at that shambles tonight, booed off at half time and full time.

He's been great for us and is an absolute tottenham legend. Now it's time to go to a club that can meet his level and he shouldn't have to move all his family abroad.

We are years away from challenging again and he doesn't have the time.

Get the money and rebuild.
