Because he wants to play every minute of every game for his personal milestones and then gets injured.

Weak management, he's an employee. He was played because we have fuck all else comparable to him in his role.

This comment right here has to be up there with one of the worst I've ever seen on this site :ROFLMAO:
It’s not wrong, though. Although football is a team game, his responsibility to the team is scoring goals. He’s drawn blanks in two League Cup finals, had an absolute no show in the Champions League final and couldn’t score in 120 minutes against Dinamo when we were eliminated.

People make out he has dragged us on his back for the entirety of his time in the first team. The truth is that before 2020, he was playing in some excellent football teams with genuine quality throughout the squad. Can you honestly tell me one single moment where Kane has shone in a significant cup game?

I’m not discrediting what Kane has done here. Not one bit. But to say he holds no responsibility for him lacking any silverware to his name is complete and utter bollocks.

I actually am in disbelief that some people think that Kane has failed us

The guy will move to City and literally score more than 40 goals a season if he stays fit.

Again, more extreme opinions on this site. Not sure why I'm surprised, tbh. Where else is he going to go if he doesn't want to play in Europe, or if he wants to continue adding to his tally in this country?

For decades big players have moved between clubs in their domestic leagues. It's totally normal. I'd understand if it was Chelsea or Arsenal, but we're not a rival to City. Nowhere near their level and no history with them.

It’s that kind of attitude that means we won’t compete. City are our rivals, a couple of bad seasons doesn’t change the fact that if we want to be competing at the top of the division we are going to be in direct competition for top four spaces and trophies with them. We should never have rolled over and had our tummies tickled for Walker like we did. That sent out the completely wrong signals.

Selling Kane within England would be a massive mistake imo.

It's not people, it's an emotional knee jerk comment by someone not thinking rationaly, it'll pass.

Messi has done fuck all in the big games for Argentina, and he's not the only world class player they've had. Even Ronaldo has fucked up in the odd final or key game. It happens to all players.

The difference is that Lewandowski, Ronaldo and Messi are surrounded by the best at their clubs. Kane is not. I'm not saying he is as good as those 3 but he has been one of the best strikers in the world these last few years, probably only surpassed by Lewandowski, and he's had to do that playing week in/week out with the likes of Winks, Dier and Sissoko.

Exactly. He’s not a Messi type player that is going to run through a whole team ( or even Ronaldo who used to do that before he changed his game).

Just because Kane is a great passer and can drop deep, he’s a CF and relies on service.

Besides, as if not being as good as Ronaldo or Messi is some sort of slight anyway. Two of the best players to have ever played the game.

Under Poch the mentality was domestic cups meant fuck all, anyone bad mouthing Kane IMO are politely "foolish".

It's nice to be ambitious but look at yourself (Spurs) in the mirror and try to believe it. It's hard because it's against common sense.

First we have to go back to doing the basics right: being able to stay compact, being able to move the ball in transition, being able to withstand a press.

Focus on doing what we can first, forget the others.

I preferred foolish but thought the entirety of your post, we seem to have grown a massive ball sack of entitlement on the basis of the square root of fuck all.

That doesn’t really justify the 2021 League Cup final, the CL final and the Europa League exit though.

I doubt Poch told the players before the 2015 LC final that he wasn’t arsed if they won or lost.

I've gone as far as actually saying that through no real fault of his own the team actually suffers. We have played all of our football through him for a good while and when he has a bad patch we don't seem to have any attacking direction. The guy has been an utter legend at the club, no doubt about it though and I'll miss the fact that we couldn't build a 'team' of players with him in it.

I have no animosity to him what’s so ever for wanting to leave. He deserves to go to a club like Man City and win a lot of trophies. As it stands we are such along way from doing that with this current squad of players.

The board, the new coach, Kane, Son, Hugo, PEH need to get into a room with each and have a very very frank conversation about which players they feel are letting the club down and are not putting it in.

We did this at my last club I was coaching at as we already had an idea on who wasn't pulling their weight but it allowed us to really get these players on side and show to them that we are setting a standard. Bit by bit you can get other players on the right side and get rid of those that have had their time.

NO but it wasn't tactics that lost Poch domestic cups it was lack of composure.
