Watching the replay again, the power could have still got past the keeper but the deflection gave him no chance

There was a slight deflection but the way he hit the ball - think the ball was always moving away from the keeper - the swerve on it

I've now watched the replay several times and it doesn't deflect that much. For me Sommer doesn't save that whatever.

Agree 100%. I had to pause the match so I'm late but also rewatched it several times even in super slowmo. That was a rocket shot that barely glanced the defender. It was going in no matter what.

"Straight at"? Not a chance. Maybe at arm's length at best but suspect it was even outside of that. Had he seen it the whole way, he might have had an outside chance to parry it. That was a striker's strike.
