Can someone please tell my why on earth PSV would be interested in re-signing Lee after his shocking performance against them in the uefa cup,not to mention his other poor performances over the past 2 years.

I for one wouldn't be sad to see him go.
Poor buy in the first place,
Bale will be back next season and we also have O'Hara that can play there aswell.

If we want to get to the next level we cannot afford to be carrying any "dead wood".

Yeah, with Bale and BAE likely to be back next season, and Gilberto firghting for a place at LB too, there will be very limited oppertunities for Lee. Hopefully we can scrape in a couple of million for him.

Lee has been good for us 99.9% of the time. I still think he should be playing ahead of Chimbonda, but for some readon Juande doesn't.

What the fuck? Chimbo has been quality recently barring the Chelsea game. 3 assists in 3 matches before that, not too bad for a LB. But of course, everyone's on his back after one bad showing.

Another needless thread created to bash one of our players who's only offence is not being good enough in some supporters opinion.

Lee may not be the best, but he has given his all for us. In the first part of this season, pre Ramos, when our defence was in tatters, Lee was one of the few who although results and everything was against us, kept his head down and fought for the cause. Games also where like in the CC semi final first leg where he kept Walcott in his back pocket. And before you go blaming him for the goal, he did everything right but for an unlucky deflection.

Coupled to the fact that when Jol was going to sell him to Roma, he wanted to stay at our club and fight for our cause, unlike others who only look atthe financial rewards.

So yes wish him gone, but as they say be careful what you wish for.

I think I make a good point though. Obviously. Because I'm me.

I don't think Chimbonda has looked as good at left back as Lee always did for us. Chimbonda has the odd good game, but hasn't been consistent at all.

Juande knows best though, and I'll trust him on that.

Lee was a good defender but utter useless passed the half way line. Cutting onto his right foot, he crossed the ball poorly...(used to piss me right foot off)

In his defence it didn't help that the left side of our team has/had no natural left footed player, apart from when Davids played their really.

That's similar to Robbo. He's not been a bad playmaker at all this season, but I'd rather he was better at not dropping the ball and parrying it away from opposing players than being great at kicking the ball.

A back four of Stalteri Dawson King Lee had us in 4th for most of the season and helped us to one of our best defensive season for a long, long time. To dismiss his contribution to us improving is disrespectful in the extreme. Clearly Lee doesn't fit into the way Ramos wants his fullbacks to play but, that doesn't make him a bad player and I wouldn't be surprised if PSV are interested considering when he was last there he was part of the team that got to the CL semi final.

Totally agree with that. Players have to do their 1st job (defending/keeping/attacking -whatever) then anything else is a bonus.
