I saw that Charlie Austin is available from Southampton. I wouldn't mind him getting him in as a back up striker as he is HG, knows the premier league and don't think would command huge wages.

Whilst i don't hate this idea, it's very short term planning - perhaps that's better than no planning but short term nonetheless.

We'd end up in the same situation as we are with FL and VJ in terms of moving him on eventually i think. Need a longer term solution really and one which offers our squad a couple of different options.

Because what we really need is more bodies for our physios to practice on.

He's slower than Llorente. Hard pass. When Kane's out we need someone with movement to play up top. Llorente's a decent player, but as with Janssen, having a static player upfront throws the whole rest of the team off because we can't play our normal game.

The point is who is going to come to us to sit on the bench and not demand huge wages. Even just a six month loan to see how he does.

I'd rather we put the money elsewhere even if it is a loan we'd still be paying for his wages

Agree he couldn’t replace Kane for full games but when we are chasing games we need someone who can come off the bench and score goals and he can do that.

The Turkish 'Sergio Ramos' signed for Fenerbache after being released by Galatasaray. Reason; He declared unfit and went on a holiday :LOL:

Looks like being a really quiet end to the window all round. Suppose I'll have to do some bloody work!

I do find it somewhat bitter-sweet that since being harshly banned from the transfer forums we've only signed one player. Karmic.

Whose Karmic and when did we sign him? Croatian prospect? :sneaky:

I'm actually enjoying these quieter windows, if only to see Sky Sports fumble around trying to fill their news programme and keep the hype going...

Fair play to him. Earning that much and he only have to turn it on in fits and bursts. He's never going to be the main guy while Rashford is there too.

Well Rashford is their striker now which doesn't affect Martial, if anything Lukaku is the one who's in danger.
