Other interesting last day happenings.

Lazar Markovic (such a flop) on a free to Fulham.
Lucas Piazon out on his 6th loan spell since joining Chelsea.
Shinji Kagawa on loan to Besiktas.
Alen Halilovic joined Milan on a free in the summer and is now loaned out to Standard. A lot of poor choices in his career I feel.

This Twitter thread on Palace's "banter strikers" over the years is absolute gold.

I don't think Palace are that shit tbh, I think there's some good players in that team but they are where they are because they haven't had a reliable goalscorer for years. If Batshuayi starts scoring for them I expect them to climb well away from the drop zone.

But that's the thing with Palace....every year i see them sign a couple players that i think "hmm, i think they could be a good signing"....and every year they prove that those players are....shit.

they seem to take players who should have some talent and completely destroy that talent

Could also be that the talented players they do sign are not hungry anymore. Which makes it look like a good signing, but when it's clear they don't give a shit they fail to perform.

We nearly signed Halilovic when he was 17.

Both the Mancs do the same. Bony/Zaha. Buy to stop the rivals bids then Ruin careers imo.
Chelsea are top of this list. Easily. I wouldn't say either Manchester club does it to any great degree, but Chelsea certainly do and regularly. And they don't do it very well either. De Bruyne, Salah, Lukaku and if I could be arsed, about 20 other players all hoarded by Chelsea to stop other clubs buying them before being moved on, look at Moses, spent half his career on loan, they really are an unsavoury, nasty, football club.

Correct me if I'm wrong - please but I think Bony was first choice at Swansea. We got their 3rd choice. (Lorrente - Look at him !
You are wrong. Llorente/Sigurdsson was the duo that tried to keep Swansea up, and almost succeeded. Bony had left for City before Llorente arrived and and Bony was shit when he returned there.

Llorente scored 15 in 33 games for Swansea in the one season he was there.

Yeah Bony wasn't the same after he left them the first time. He's now on loan in Qatar.

I see he's only 22 years old.

Has he gone off the boil, or is he just not as good as everyone thought he would be?

Could Poch get the best out of him?

Scott Parker and Steve Sidwell are two others. Parker when we wanted him.

He has managed to play 42 games since joining Barcelona 14/15.
The only times he has played is when he has been loaned out to shit teams in Spain.

During that time he has played 11 games for the teams that actually owned him (Barcelona, Hamburg and Milan).

They did succeed. Llorentes only goal last season was against them.
