Bizarre, he seems the model pro and definitely doesn't have an attitude issue.

I have wondered whether it just the old Glenn Hoddle thing again and being jealous of talent - but then i don't think that really rings true as Madrid as a fuck load of that. I don't whether the Glenn Hoddle thing was true either... Err i don't know where i'm going with this haha

Talking of true and false, its amazing how narratives develop about , for example Bale not being able to speak Spanish - yet there are interviews with him speaking spanish and his own teammates say he can - its just that he is introverted and keeps himself to himself. Maybe he could make more of an effort, but as someone who is introverted thsemvelse it just not in our make up to do so. Its like the Chris Froome thing all over again, their just this weird preconception that you have to have a certain personality to be recognised as a sportsman.

Its why i love Poch. He genuinely understands other people and that they are different. I wouldn't class people like Ryan Mason as outgoing but he works with the qualities they do have and builds relationships with them. I found it funny seeing poch doing the cojones dance after Ajax because it is a side i never seen to him before.

Is Dembele really a like for like comparison, not sure personally.

Bale is far too to good to be going to China now. It just seems ridiculously premature when you consider his ability and physical condition.

Could say the same for dembele, he could still cut it in a weaker European league but they don’t pay as well.

Agree on Bale’s ability though, that’s why I’m sceptical the Chinese links are real.

The neymar/bale swap seems more likely to me for so many reasons. Maybe the Chinese links are a smokescreen for Barcelona. Madrid/neymar would love each other. They could afford his fee & wages and PSG would be paying bale less than they currently pay neymar so it wouldn’t effect their ffp commitments.

If Bale really wants to join a European team he will. In the days of FFP no team can have a player on that cash not in the squad. If he pushes it they will have to subsidise his wages.

However if he’d rather go to China for silly money then fair enough

Bale would have earned 10x what Dembele ever did and if you add image rights and sponsorship as well he's on a different planet. IMO he should stay put and make Madrid sweat rather than sell himself short in China.

All this down playing the China League is just pathetic. So what if the China League is not comparable to the EPL. So who cares if bale is going therr for money. Just like we only think of spurs, these players will or should only think about number 1.

10 years from now, as spurs fans our concern is who we are signing, who can push us forward. Bale will be poster on the wall, or a signed shirt somewhere in the garage.

Having seen dembele bullying the players in the China League, Bale will rip the league apart. Why can't the china League have quality players there as well. The mere fact they are the only side that can afford his wages, they definitely deserve to have him play in that league.

But it is a million a week. Like blimey... A fuckin million. A MILLION.

Do it for a year then go elsewhere.

Then he won't want to take a huge drop from his million a week!!! You see the cycle? Lol.

He might have new investments, and not earning a million a week might impact on those new financial commitments ?

I think there's still twists to come in this saga, Madrid will be keen to push him towards China as whoever takes him there can cover his wages as you'd think if he went anywhere else Madrid would have to contribute to his wages in some capacity.

I reckon Madrid are pushing for China and they're the reason for the stories in the press but Bale probably won't want to go there which will still leave RM with a player they don't want. Gareth holds all the cards, Zidane's comments have only made his position stronger.

Exactly, which is why I also think Barnett has come out and said that he feels Bale can still play a big part at a big club

Why does Zidane dislike him so much? I don't get it
I'm not sure Zidane dislikes Bale per se, more that he doesn't have Bale in his plans for the squad and so is doing what he can to push Bale out. When you have so much of your wage bill tied to a player that you don't intend to play, then all RM (not just Zidane) will be making Bale's life uncomfortable to motivate Bale and his agent to find a solution with a new team.

Madrid is disrespecting Bale but so is this thread ripping him for even the thought of going to china. That being said, i’ll still believe it when I see it. No doubt Madrid is pushing it and leaking all this. Its part of their game. China would be best for Madrid’s bottom line as they get a fee and dont have to subsidize his wages. But this coming out moments after the PSG stuff came out reeks of Madrid’s mind games pushing China over Europe. China offering the most money to Bale probably doesnt mean much in these leaks, imo
