I get that, but a lot of anger comes from how little he has adapted, increasingly offensive remarks and his love for golf.You would really think he committed some grievous crime or something.
There is a perception he isn't really all that into football anymore. If he is willing to fight and compete I reckon it would be a great signing if he doesn't I don't think it would be.
This idea of taking players other teams don't want being a sign of going backwards is a little silly. Robben and Sniedjer (however you spell his name) are great examples of players who were unfancied by Madrid but inspired the teams they left to to CL glory. While Moura got us into the final, and he was unfancied by PSG.
