Happy to see Son starting. Like a gambler who just knows his luck will turn with one more bet, this'll be his game. Just watch. This game or the next. Or the one after that. Or at some indeterminate future date. Trust me, he's got this.

I am a passionate Spurs supporters for 50 years plus. Recently watching the matches has been stressful, depressing, disappointing and certainly not enjoyable. Always the hope but recently not fulfilled and a lot of misery

Tonight feels different. I am relaxed because my expectations are low and I no longer think a lot is at stake. I think top 4 is highly unlikely and I am no longer excited about qualifying for Europa competitions. Looks like Conte will leave at season end and, while I think he is great, his system is not working at Spurs and he is stubborn about changing it. The players are not performing for him for whatever reason and Levy knows he is not going to stay and is understandably not keen to spend more on the players Conte wants when there will be a new manager in the summer.
Son is a shadow of what he used to be and Loris has become a tragedy. Richie and Bissouma and even Perisic have been disappointments

So I am pleasantly relaxed. I do not expect us to win tonight against an in form motivated Fulham team. I will cheer for Spurs as usual but there is no anxiety because I expect so little. The pressure is off. Might even enjoy the game!
Have not felt this way since the pre Martin Jol period
Anyone else feel this way?

I just can’t believe how boring the last three years have been. The overwhelming feeling is one of sheer, tedious boredom. Some won’t like that. And perhaps won’t like it expressed. But with everything going on in the world, the idea of your team under the floodlights on a Monday night after work should lift your soul. And this just doesn’t.

This is the Spurs endgame for us all. Accept it. Don't fight it. Let it wash over you like a warm embrace from Martin Jol.

lloris and son starting (sigh), what does son have to do to get dropped
Literally nothing. Even a training cone would be better at occupying space right now. I love all the great things Son has done for us, but how he keeps getting a game when putting in such consistent abject performances is beyond me. Even a half-fit Richarlison would at least offer something different.

Bumflaps, that is a very disappointing selection. Lloris, Son and Hojbjerg have offered nothing but problems as of late.
