People on here are crazy.

Manager rotates "why is he dropping our best players?", "has AVB fallen out with player X?"
Manager doesn't rotate "player X is going to get burnt out", "the squad should be managed better"

AVB has a policy which he's explained to the keepers. It would look strange to suddenly reverse that simply because it's Hugo's old team.

I'm not really sure why the old team element is relevant at all to be honest.

The bigger issue is whether, if we go much deeper into the tournament, will AVB then want to play our No.1?

But AVB got it spot on with Lloris and Bradders earlier in the season when many were howling about it, so I'll trust him on this one.

Thats your opinion, i wonder if Hugo shares the same thoughts, which is more important i think, come on, fuck policy for a minute, lets do the right thing and play our strongest team, and yes keep our world class keeper, our future, happy...is that wrong?

I wonder how Ronaldo would feel not playing against utd, its called man management, why risk fucking up Lloris head just when he is playing so well.

I was with him regards how he handled it when Lloris first signed but i don't see the need to bring in Brad imo Brad should be in an emergency only type situation, it didn't work out too well against Leeds.

i agree its a risk as the defence have to defend very differently now with Brad in goals compared to Hugo, and they looked a lot less certain against Leeds. In fact they looked shambolic at times as they werent sure if Brad was going to 'sweep' as Hugo does. Suffice it to say, he doesnt.

People are crazy because they have different views? Your confused face suggests you are reading all the comments as if they come from one person and not multiple people.

I don't give a crap that its his old team. As I mentioned in my post, Hugo is our number one goalie so I think we should be playing him tonight as it is an important game. AVB seems to take it seriously but won't play his strongest team? You think he might do it later in the tournament? If it costs us he won't get the chance.

Is Lloris going to be unhappy at not playing tonight, would love to know.
Also is it a case of fuck Brad keep Lloris happy? not great man management there im afraid

Should we also be playing Brad against his former teams or is this just another thing that just so people want Lloris to play?

Last season hardly anyone gave a fuck about the Europa League, wanting to play our reserves and squad players.
Now we should be playing our full strength team and not rotate our players.

Brad is not a poor keeper and I hope people are not going to be watching the game over analyzing him

I would have thought Lloris would be more bothered about playing the away leg than the home one.

Why do some of you assume Lloris is more sensitive than Mr Sensitive of Sensitive land? disappointed he's not playing, perhaps, gonna cry about it and throw his toys out the pram considering Brad has played in the Europa League previously? uh, no...

Hugo should be playing. He is our first choice and he is the best keeper at the club. AVB should be playing his best team possible tonight, lyon are a much better side than leeds and as said above , it didnt really work out there. This is our last chance of silverware, the same team that played newcastle will do for me.

No one said 'fuck' Brad, but we messed Lloris about when he first came IMO and many others agree, he has come in , been superb, has earn't the right to be our no.1 and is our best chance of going further in a competiton i want us to win, and anyone who thinks it won't upset Lloris not playing in this 'special' match for him, is deluded, and i don't think we should risk that, and just to add, if we are meant to be really going for this cup, what message is not playing our best team sending to the players who are playing? and to the fans who pay good money and will spend shitloads going to france.

Blimey people on here don't think much of Lloris' mental strength do they?

"Mon Dieu! I have been dropped for a match against my old team! Sacre Bleu! I will now have to play very very badly in all other games that I play in!"

Le nonsense.

I don't care about people's feeling etc, I just look at it as in my opinion we are more likely to lose with Friedel in goal than Lloris.

Thats what I base it on, end of.

With the lack of a true striker, it would be difficult for us if they park the bus. One alternative is not to keep pressing too much high up in order to leave space for speed merchants like Bale, Lennon and Holtby to work with. If this is the scenario, Freidel's relative slowness off his line might not be critically exposed.

AVB has to give some game time to Freidel to keep him sharp should we ever need him in the final stretch of the EPL campaign.

I think AVB will let Lloris have the glory in France.

Don't think I've ever heard of a keeper getting burned out? The mistake you make is that you assume there's a hard and fast rule to rotating which must be applied equally to all players and in all circumstances, rather than a more nuanced approach which takes into account numerous factors
