Immune to criticism on here, but the approach is too passive again. West Ham are absolute dog water but we refused to press them high. Not impressed.

So does he trust his squad or not? Feels like he's complaining about his options again. Ridiculous really

What do you actually like about spurs? Every time things go wrong, you're posting criticism. Football sport isn't like that - not everything and everyone is perfect all the time. The constant complaining is getting tiresome.

Is anyone going to ask the question, if Nuno produced this football you’d be going nuts.

Hmm, we were quite happy when Nuno was winning 1-0. The problems were when we went 3 games without having a single shot and we were losing every week.

Last season:

Southampton (H) = LOST
Wolves (H) = LOST
Chelsea (A) = LOST
West Ham (A) = LOST

This season:

Southampton (H) = WON
Wolves (H) = WON
Chelsea (A) = DREW
West Ham (A) = DREW

I will give Conte the benefit of the doubt as (a) he is getting results despite the team still being in first gear, and (b) we are creating chances, despite playing in a 'clunky' fashion.

I love him and fully back him but sometimes he deserves criticism and today he deserves it

I’ve been getting attacked on Twitter & Reddit for criticising him today and it’s actually ridiculous how some fans just defends him no matter what. He was moving like Nuno in the touch line today. No emotions

Everyone could see we had trouble passing out from the back so why didn’t he bring on Lenglet, an actual ball playing CB?? Why did we get him if Conte not gonna use him

In fairness I wouldn’t want Lenglet up against Antonio until he’s had a few matches to get up to speed with the pace of the prem.

I agree with rest though. We really need ball players at the back as that was awful from the CB 3 and Hugo tonight (in possession). Cost us the win

Sorry if this is a repost, but I was very impressed.

Took a hit today. 0.63 XG

Starting to wonder if preseason training was too hard after a long season last year and a short break last summer and this. It could be playing a part. Hopefully it helps later in the season but I suspect the manager isn’t 100% happy.

But also isn’t this what sometimes happens when Conte has to prepare two games a week?

Feel like we can only play poorly for so long while still picking up points as we go

Its a concern but some bury their head in the sand. Our results are better than our performances at the moment and that will not carry on for the entire season.

Ball players from the back (and we had plenty of these type games last year with Romero in) is only useful if when it goes into the front it sticks and you can play off it. Lets leave out that Conte ball is about deep possession rotations to bait the opposition into overcommitting and combos into the space in behind, every time it did go forward second half it came straight back at us it felt like and though all three attackers are very good players obviously, they've barely got going really this season bar some moments and have had a bad tendency to all go missing when we've been under the cosh in games. I also still don't think we get enough from the wingbacks tbh, we need one of them surely to be able to really stretch the play and eat up ground carrying it.

So we need solutions against obdurate deeper defensive blocks. Was always a critical objective for the season, and on first go we didn't manage to find them. But the attacking platform has got to turn up and fire whatever we do. It's going to be a struggle when they're only doing it in fits and starts.

You never seem happy with any manager we’ve had though?
I’ve haven’t been happy with the style of play for about 3/4 years now if I’m honest, maybe even since we got to the new stadium we’ve lost that zip or ability to tear teams apart I don’t know if it’s the managers or the collective that we don’t have the quality.

But it’s not the tottenham way and it’s not enjoyable it’s bad when you are fighting to stay awake most games. Last 3 managers and even toward the end of poch us reign it was the same slow sideways backwards football maybe the quality drop off really is that bad since the the peak poch phase I don’t know.
