I know its part of the masterplan to be overrun in midfield in every game. But now every team sets up to outnumber us in that part of the pitch it might surprise them if we threw an extra body in there, you know when games are going against us, i.e second half tonight.

352 seems like such an ideal system to switch to when the game is not going our way. I don't know why he sticks religiously to the 343.

I don't mind the system generally, well as in 3 at the back and wing backs but it would be nice in instances such as this to see a bit of balls too. Son shouldn't have survived the whole game and legs from Spence/Doherty or even Sessegnon on the other side would have been welcomed.

I understand not trying to change much to not upset the system at all and avoid defeat but it's frustrating to just watch a game fade away from so early in the match and without doing much to change the proceedings.

It is a good point all in all but we need to start playing well too eventually. This and the Chelsea game could too easily have gone the other way, which is fine really so long as like said, the performances do improve.

Something just needs to click to make us a more cohesive unit.

The squad and Conte's system are still an imperfect fit for this season cleary. Not much can be done about that, I highly doubt Conte will move away from what has brought him success at several clubs and in 2 countries.

That said, he can improve their mentality still. I hope he does because I'm tired of seeing the nerviness that has crept into every single Spurs squad since I've started watching them if everything isn't going our way.

Putting Doherty or Spence in at RWB will go a fair way to making us look better imo, when there’s only one side the attacking play will be coming from its a lot easier to defend while sitting back.

He was wrong in two aspects of that post match summing up interview.

VAR was correct to recommend the ref taking a second look, it hit the side of Cresswell's face before striking his arm so technically it was the correct decision, yes it took a while to come to the correct decision, that's what VAR is there for. It only just about hit the side of the face, and but for that it's a penalty, but in the end we have to accept that was the correct decision.

He was also wrong to suggest we deserved more than a point, on the balance of play and chances, we didn't, in the end we were a bit fortunate to come away with a point.

Positives, we will improve, and despite a relatively underwhelming performance we didn't lose.

Is anyone going to ask the question, if Nuno produced this football you’d be going nuts.
I don’t think the football is great at the moment, but it was worse in my opinion under Nuno and Mourinho. It was also pretty awful under Villas Boas near the end of his time. All worse than it is at the moment.

People overreact way too much. We’ve got 11 pts from five games which included two very difficult away derbies. One or two good additions tomorrow and we will be fucking unstoppable when the team finally clicks.

It would be stupid to doubt Conte's ability as a manager but hopefully he learns a thing or two from this match.

They say it’s a good trait to win when not playing well. We are the walking embodiment of that.

Given how supposedly bad we play football, I dread to think how the 17 teams below us think about theirs. Seems we are doing fine. We have won 3 games and drew two away games to Chelsea and West Ham.

The complaining is equal measures annoying as it is stupid.

This is the Premier League. If you want to watch a team win 10-0 every game then get yourself down to the local park and watch some Under 8's.

You might want to lower your expectations ready for tomorrow.

That last sentence is in equal measure annoying and stupid

Despite another poor/average performance we were undone by a lack of professionalism today. The goal for them was unbelievably sloppy. Very disappointing.

How long did it take Conte to switch systems when was the Chelsea manager? Was it after a couple losses and dire performances? I don't want us losing a game to be the catalyst for a system change, would like to see him try a 352 and build with that. It's not working out in our midfield currently.
