i bet its quite effective in the long run. ref will probably give you more attention and also bigger chance of getting the opposition booked. very much dishonourable but some people just want to win not caring about in which manner it happens.

It's counter-intuitive though because there's been loads of red card tackles this season that only got yellows since it's so hard to tell whats what anymore
