As I wrote earlier on - they had moments of domination and so did we. For all their fight, they really didn't create more clear cut chances than us.

aside from the last 10, when did we dominate? im genuinely struggling to remember - all i can remember, is us struggling to string 3 passes together.

So you're discarding the chances we had, and bigging up the chances they had.

What does it say about us? That we narrowly lost a heated football match. That's pretty much it.

im sorry to keep pulling up your messages, but it wasnt heated in the slightest. if you didnt know premier league football - or know of the arsenal/spurs rivalry - you'd have no idea it was a derby.

Look, you can nit pick all you want. The fact is for all their effort, crushing domination and determination they created as little as us and got the three points through a horrific penalty decision. We also hit the woodwork, had a slightly off-side goal disallowed, and several chances like Alli's narrowly missed header.

What is the point of focusing on negatives only? Football isn't the be all in life. I like to enjoy it when I can. If we lose, then on to the next one and hope for the best. But it seems that for lots of supporters out there it determines whether they have a reason to live or not. Pretty sad, if you ask me.

And I will find you many examples of entertaining football under Mourinho, under Poch, under other previous managers or future. Same with completely not entertaining.
OK no getting through to the Mourinho love in brigade.

it's not nit picking. it's observation. the stats show they created a hell of a lot more than us. we only started testing them last 10, if we'd of played that way prior ( ideally with 11 ) and lost i'd say fair enough, beaten by the better side, does it not make it more annoying it took the last 10 to test them?

We were lucky that we wasn't at least two down by half time as for the penalty no question it was.
We got what we always get there which is nothing or very little, but as you say let's move on at least we have a cup final to win.
:sneaky: :)

I don't understand why dermot gallagher is saying the VAR is backed in to a corrner and can't overturn the refs decision for the penalty.

"He then relays to the VAR what he's seen, how he's seen it, and I think that's backed Paul Tierney into a corner. I don't think he can ask him to go to the monitor because you can't re-referee the football match."

I thought that is exactly what you can do.

Embarrassment of a defeat , they are such a soft side and we were even softer . What happened to the “nasty c***” mentality , Matt Doherty looks unfit every single week and Kane had led in his boots

Thursday Zagreb has all the hallmarks of incoming clusterfuck
Comments like this are annoying! How are we ever going to shift the mentality of the club if our own fans can’t. Do you think City fans after they lose to someone like United say that their next important game is going to be a clusterfuck or do you think they move on back the team and put it down as a bad day. That’s what we need to start doing! Not this negative bull.

Funny thing, if Laca actually hits the ball and misses that most likely won't be given as a pen. Only reason it was is because he missed. Tragic decision.
He did hit the ball, just miscues it so bad that the balls went the other way, he then hit Sanchez’s out stretching leg with the follow through which means he had initiated the contact so how is that been given as a penalty is just plain ridiculous, especially after the VAR check.

Exactly, what’s the point of VAR if it can’t overturn a blatant mistake from the ref, or is he’s being back to a corner as he didn’t want to embarrass his colleague? Can’t we just complain and ban this Oliver **** from our games in the future? We should have enough evidence with all the questionable decisions he had given us down the years.

We usually beat them at ours, lose at theirs. Welcome to the old normal.
Arsenal have won 5 times in the league since 1990.Spurs have won twice at Arsenal. To put this in context , we have won more games at Anfield Since then...
