I'll consider it a bonus if he plays again this season but I'd expect him to be ready for the start of next season.

had to watch this almost to remind myself of how he plays

it's so depressing looking at our current attacking options on the bench, other than son none of them are likely to contribute anything of note so we could really do with having this guy back, although i don't expect to see him again this season.

Man I miss him. If people finished some of those he would have been top of the league or competing with the tops in assists.

People not wanting him in the team whether that is the starting 11 or as a squad player are mad. Eric is our most creative passer sans Eriksen and that video shows how much he means to the shape. The work he puts in is amazing.

The Man United game last year was one of his best and I would love to see him back in the lily white

Videoes like this only show the good stuff. I'm struggling to think of a good game he played this season and he's not really been missed at all. From the start of last season I'd wager we win more games without him starting, score more and concede less. The difference is the most marked at home. We're destroying teams by half time and they're barely able to get a look in once we go ahead. How often could you say that last season? And Lamela's lack of attacking contribution stood out in many of the most disappointing home results. If he's moved on this Summer it will be because of what he doesn't do, which many of us have seen for a long time. The lack of an improved contract indicates to me that Poch is of the same mind.

It's rare to find south American players who are actually happy staying in England, some, because they are generally great players, do well on the pitch but most struggle off it.

Language, weather and culture all seem to be a problem. I never remember Lamela doing a real interview in English, his happiness I can only guess at, but his frequent visits to Italy suggest there are issues.

I think will leave in the summer.

Something that always stuck in my head was the report about how he cried when he left Roma. I think Baldini and the Bale sale made it very hard for Roma to say no to our approach, but I never got the impression he wanted to leave. Rocking up to Tottenham High Road after living in Rome was probably a bit of an eye opener too.

We got kicked out of Europe, while Man City and Liverpool tore us apart. Yeah, we've been just fine without him. :finger:

Donald Rumsfeld was speaking of Lamela....
There are known knowns. These are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know.

Yup sums him up perfectly.:cautious:

Oh Hoops they are coming for you. :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:. what have you done.

You can't really be that dense that you think it's OK to publically accuse someone of taking drugs just because you don't know/believe the reason a player is not playing.

Trix, please please show me where I have made such an allegation. I was referring to Hoops' post and his comments and the subsequent negative reps coming his way.

I couldn't give a toss what Lamela aka Coco does or does not do in his private time. It's his performance on the field which I'm more interested in. Dense.........(n)
