Why is it that he always seems to get subbed off every game he plays, regardless of whether or not he's the right player to come off? I'm starting to wonder if Roma get a certain amount for every 90 minutes he completes or something, as he almost always gets subbed off in games he starts in when at the time it seems like the most illogical player to withdraw.

We always seem to lose so much in terms of pressing when he goes off, too. Why did he go off again today?

Have to agree. I find it odd he gets the hook. He has assisted and scored all season. Even when not at his best and presses the shit out off teams. Poor decision for me

Didn't think he was that great yesterday to be exempt from subbing. Seemed to have difficulty getting the ball out of his feet for a shot.

Sonny lacks many things but I would fancy him to get a shot away given a chance. Eriksen could have easily been pulled but he is much more likely of a last minute winner so I can understand why he stayed on.

Fair enough, but the question was why every single match, when it doesn't really change things for the better?

What would leaving him on achieve? We needed a goal - if I wanted 4 forward players that could score a goal from 25-30 yards because the opposing team are playing with 8 canetre backs it'd be Chadli, Kane, Eriksen and Son.

He had a good game yesterday, but Lamela had 85 minutes to score or create something.. exactly how long do you wait when you need a goal to make a change?

I underatand people wishing him well and hoping hes on 'the mend' but im simply fed up with it. I love lamela as a player and he is our lion on the field with his style of play, energy and no nonsence attitude buuuuuttttt.....

Wtf is going on? This is a multi million pound asset, a player which was key to our style of play last yeae and us fans are being hung out to dry on whats happening!! The club should be more transparent as im SURE they know more than what they are letting on with.
Lamela himself hasnt even spoke a word on social media and this is from somebody who supposidly eats, breathes and sleeps football. Its as if hes just VANISHED a 28m pound asset who was quite favourable has just gone and all we have to go by is a lil bit of dross that poch has fed us. We need him in the first 11 oe bench as his absence has hampered us for sure and we are left with very few attacking options on the bench

I think it might be time to come to terms with the fact he may never play for Spurs again. I think it would be a good idea to set up a support group for those fans who will have difficulty dealing with this.
