watching everton game,.... I just do not see what all the fuss is about regarding mccarthy... generic player, not a game/team changer and no idea why 20-25 mil price tag was out there.... meh at best :stop:

This is some performance from Lukaku. Southampton can't deal with him.

Everton looks very good today. They have the bones of a very decent side, but they've invested very little this summer. By the way, there was a debate here earlier in the summer between those of us who wanted Alderweireld and others who thought he was a product of playing next to Fonte and in Southampton's conservative system. Now, to be fair, these people also mentioned Schneiderlin as being beneficial to Aldweireld and Southampton's defense, but Southampton have been wide open these two games and I can't help but think Alderweireld is a major reason why. Yoshida just isn't anywhere near as good.

Robbie Savage doesn't suit commentary at all, everything he says sounds like it should have #justsaying on the end

He talks just to make noise. His opinions change by the minute. His need to have an opinion - any opinion - works well on 606 to provoke calls but it's not very insightful or informative.

Yes it's nice watching a team with counter attacking pace. Something we haven't seen at Spurs for a long time.

It looks much more that Soton look slow footed than Everton hitting with pace.....they are running break-outs with Kone and McCarthy...not exactly players noted for huge amounts of pace.

Yoshida and Fonte look like they are dragging anchors behind them when they are running and despite (currently) having 2 DMs on the pitch (Romelu and Wanyama) that midfield looks completely overrun.
