Milos is ok - he is a big lad and gets around the pitch pretty well - he has a few issues though as do most young players.

Its difficult to know his best position for me in the centre of midfield he can be a little passive and he needs to impose himself more if he does that and uses his physical power he could be a player

As a centre half he has lot of interesting attributes size being obvious - he is a decent passer of the ball but there is a question mark about his pace for me. He gets away with it at U21 level by being decent position wise but there is a huge gap to overcome to play in senior football

I do think he has outgrown U21 football, its not proving anything either way about him - a loan is also a bit pointless he needs to get into the first team and prove himself one way or the other. I think he will feature on Thursday on the bench even though he wasn't great last night (though there are mitigating circumstances). My own opinion and I am really on the fence is that it could go either way with him, I think he is more of a midfield player but I would like to see more aggression and power from him

At his stage of development, he needs to go and nail a loan this year - like Oduwa is doing.

But I've heard we won't loan him until he signs a contract extension (hence we pulled out of proposed deals last month to Leeds and Portugal), so it's currently a bit of a Ceballos style standoff. Though with more hope of a resolution in this case.

I think it was telling that he didn't get a squad number, where McGee, Winks and Onomah did. I don't think Poch thinks he's first team ready yet.

His injury at the start of his Boro loan put him back 6 months of so in terms of development

According yo Windy poch doesn't rate Milos, so don't expect to see much of him if any this year

That's very much supposition with no real facts to back it up - as I say I believe he will be on the bench Thursday and for the rest we will have to wait and see

But a loan will prove nothing about Milos - he can cope physically that's not up for debate - he has performed well in a tournament and has tasted first team football with us - what we need to know are the answers about him contributing to our squad and where he would contribute - there is a decent chance that he will get some game time and hopefully it will be up to him one way or the other.

He's played 8 games of adult football in his life so far - 2 for us, 3 for Boro and 3 for Charlton.

Compare that to the 99 Townsend played on loan or the 72 Walker did before they established themselves in our first team squads.

he didn't pass it off as opinion though, he said that's what he's been told and i'd be inclined to believe him given the correct info he's had before - azzaoui to wolfsburg being the most recent.

It varies from player to player it really does - just my opinion but he is at the point now when you have to ask what is the benefit of a loan to not only the player but also the club? For me he is at the point where we and he needs to know whether he has a career at Tottenham and he can only do that by being around the first team. Which you could quite rightly say he isn't so he might as well go out on loan but even then you have to work out where you believe he is going to play.

I think with Milos its really difficult especially in judging a defensive midfielder (I think that will be his best role). He is good at it but its that step up I personally think he wouldn't gain much from a loan - but on the flip side he isn't going to learn in the stiffs so perhaps a loan is the right route for him. Though as I say with the injuries we have atm he must surely have a chance of featuring on Thursday and he needs to take it by the horns

There are more contradictions in that post than in many a novel

its possible but would a manager be going round saying that he doesn't fancy a youngster - I find it a bit unlikely he might say that he needs improving in certain areas but doesn't rate him I don't think so.

With Windy and I've never met him to my knowledge he likes to fill his columns and he does have a bit of love affair with Milos -

He's spent 18 months - two years stagnating in all honesty. I know some of that has been due to injury but I can see why he might be getting a bit fed up.

As I've always said, in a Poch 4-2-3-1 I think he's better at CB. For a 4-3-3 though he's a great midfield anchor.

He has experienced U21 footy as well and performed against some of the best young players in the world. Last season he kept a clean sheet against the likes of Muniain, Morata, Deulofeu and Isco. Two of which have played in the CL final in the last two seasons and the other two played in CL and one in a EL final as well

Also even in this small sample of games he received high praise from the managers

I would say only the last 12 months but he was clearly looking forward to coming back this season and the reception he got hasn't matched that it seems

12 months if we go from last season and looking to kick on after Sherwood had him in and around the matchday squad. I'd say he was ready and not getting anything from U21 football for longer than that though.
