He's got to be smarter with his nasty, or at least make it worth it. Like the silly fucking kick against Fiorentina.

Walker's fucking lucky too. Idiotic kick at Rondon in front of the ref.

Now i never saw that coming...your the last poster i thought that would bring up Walker....:D

ooo you're such a fucking hardman!

Seriously, we're not pissed at the punch, it was weak and deserved. We're pissed at the stupidity of the lad for throwing it.
Not suggesting I'm a 'hardman' at all/. That's a bizarre comment.

Anyway, I just don't think there's much in it. There's not much force and it's hard to tell if there's even a closed fist. It's more of a coming together with incidental contact imo, and I don't think he's 'thrown' anything.

EDIT: Having watched a close up it does seem to be more than a coming together as I initially thought. Still, I would say that there was very little force involved and not enough to warrant a suspension imo.

I was at the game and I didn't see this, still haven't, it seems nobody did, I did see them hack him three times in the first five minutes and they kept fouling him all game, it was clear that they targeted him though not to the referee apparently.
If he is called before the judge and jury he needs to take a compilation video of every thing that happened to him last night and cite the referee as mitigation, it might not save him but it will maybe position him as the victim he was.

He definitely hit him and he'll get a ban

Posted the video in this thread. He hits him, no excuses.

Simeone kneed Beckham in the back, still shouldn't have kicked him

We won't see him in a spurs shirt for the rest of this season and deservedly so, stupid move.

If we appeal he can play in the next game at least.
He got battered all game by a very dirty team and got no protection.
If he gets banned he should tell the FA to stuff playing for England and take the summer of and get fit for Spurs next season.

That Yacob was a little bitch the whole game, I'd have clocked him too... only a more experienced player would have known to just boot him up the arse or give him a dead leg as part of a challenge.

Alli has shown he has problems with his composure... a problem with many great young players; see Beckham for example. It'll take something like that, or for someone to properly lamp him, for him to get the message.

Hahah what? You're all a bit soft in this thread tbh, there is fucking nothing in that at all.

There's nothing in it that doesn't go on in the lower leagues or in football all the time 20 years ago.

Problem is this isn't 20 years ago and it isn't the lower leagues, so in the context of modern PL football there is certainly something in it. He deliberately goes to whack him off the ball, totally unnecessarily and if he does it in the Euros he'll be off, as he will if he tries it in the CL next season.

Stupid thing to do and shows his understandable immaturity. As has already been said, very similar behaviour to Rooney when he was a young man. Hopefully Poch is in his ear behind closed doors and like Rooney he grows out of it.

He won't get far with that in CL. He tried putting a boot in on a Fiorentina player, and the defender got up and looked like he was about to land one on him. Alli cowered away.

Most likely. Shame. But he needs to learn that players will wind him up every game. He's a kid; fantastic season, just a shame
He's not a kid though, he's a 20 year old adult. Which means he's old enough to know that you don't go punching people.

Yes he should get banned.

But if we're talking about West Brom how come absolutely nothing happened to Mclean when he made a potentially leg breaking challenge on Dembele back in December? Where is the consistency?

Anyone remember when Chris Morgan fractured that Barnsley player's skull with a ridiculous tackle and the FA couldn't do anything because the referee saw the incident? Seriously that has got to be one the stupidest rules ever made by a human being.
That rule is also misapplied. The FA keep saying that these are international rules that we must follow, but FIFA keep correcting them. The rule only applies to minor fouls, not to violent conduct or potentially harmful behaviour.

Just wondering, wasn't the footage of Yacob spitting at him shown in the English post match show?
Was wondering about that too.
Dont get me wrong, it should still be a ban for Alli, but Yakub should have the same for spitting

Agree about that, I just mentioned it on another british site, and I was told that I was the only one mentioning it, implying that I was making stuff up.

**** got what he deserved. If the ref had been in the slightest bit interested in penalising the constant West Brom kicks, trips, tugs, pushes etc then that situation would never have arisen. Like if he'd penalised Olson for his rugby tackle on Kane in the middle of the pitch about 30 seconds before their equaliser.
