That's hilarious. I actually had the same thought myself. The only main difference being most Skins fans still think it's 1985 and that they are still a "marquee franchise." You know, just like Liverpool fans. All the same delusion mixed with bitterness though.

It just seems to be a pretty big risk for a guy who won't come in as first choice, and has only played one season of European football.

A risk of course but mitigated clearly by reports on him and the fact he has settled so well into the Ajax setup. Ajax is never a bad place to do your schooling and we have the proof in our team.

I haven't seen much of him, but first thing i noticed when seeing highlight reels is that he is able to bring the ball out from the back and pass it around.Fits our 'mould' of defenders for sure. Pace will help fore sure though.

I am thinking of the high line we play. It is an attacking approach that takes risks and having quick defenders who can suddenly track back is a bonus.
