I thought Bent was very good again today when he came on.

He makes so many class runs and just isn't found.

His link up play was good, he looked a threat and had a goal wrongly ruled out

That's one of his biggest problems though, dude. He can find acres of space, he's very good at it, but it's always the wrong space! Where Berbatov and Keane appear to be able to read each others mind, Bent appears to be humming a tune in his head.

Either he just doesn't fit in with our current squad or he's a daydreamer who we payed waaaay over the odds for.

Keane & Berbatov didn't really strike the partnership untill around february last year though & both had played considerably more.

Bent is not getting the service required imo, it's up to the midfield and the wingers to supply him with what he needs to score & he did have a legit goal ruled out today.

Whenever I'm screaming at Lennon or Malbranque to play him through, it's because he's in the right position, not in spite of it. If he was in the wrong place I wouldn't want him to get the ball.

Bent has done very well, two goals in two games, both as subs (even if one was disallowed)

Yes but in the last two, he's scored twice, both as a sub. People don't appreciate how hard it is for a player, especially a striker to just walk into a team and start scoring. He's barely played since he joined, but yet people slate him rather than encourage him and wish him well

Yeah. Defoe is soooo good isn't he though? So good that he's only ever scored 20 goals in all competitions in a season once. Sooooo good that he failed to link up with ANY striker during his time at Tottenham. So good that he doesn't feel the need to pass. ever. Get over Defoe and get behind Bent, like it or not Defoe's gone and Bent's here. You should support Spurs....not Defoe.
