Well, Steven Bergwijn might not have saved his Tottenham Hotspur career after all. Amid speculation about a transfer away from North London, Bergwijn came off the bench to score two stoppage-time goals as Tottenham won 3-2 at Leicester City on January 19.

Not surprised (if true). Rumours were that he wanted to go back to Holland. If Ajax want him, I'd happily take Gravenberch. Bergwijn has scored some important goals an had some streaky form, but it just seems like he's never really settled here.

Like the players we've loaned out my main hope for Bergwijn is he'll perform for the rest of the season in order to get suitable buyers in the summer.

I like him, but just feel he has never settled here.

What is that article on about? Was Stevie “one of the most consistent performers” under Nuno? I recall him subbing on, showing up a bit, then being hurt. But maybe I’ve just blocked the Nuno era from my brain.

Made no sense to sell him in January if we couldn’t bring a striker in, the summer should be different.
