Oh dear.

Can't agree with your rationale at all. Losing games might not be the end of the World, but psychological damage if we made it to a final and lost.

I'm hoping that the club are aspiring to win every game and would certainly see the losing of a semi-final a massive missed opportunity.

What we going to ever achieve if we accept defeat as avoidance of potential psychological damage.

Madness. (y)

Yeah, I know, but this is just my own personal anxiety/fear of Man City, not club policy.

Watford earlier in this season I believe, when we won on penalties, which we very rarely ever do.

Ah yeah, don't really remember the game besides the result.

I was also questioning the slight at Lloris' penalty-saving ability - as there seems to be a strange anti-lloris theme which keeps rearing its ugly head...

The team and Poch have not failed to surprise me this season. I have a feeling we may nick something here.

If we win, it'll be a total scalp due to the current state of the squad.

Lucky to be going in with a one goal headstart. (Not that that wasn't justified.)

I have literally no idea how tonight will pan out.

I'm not expecting this game to be one that will be enjoyable to watch. I'm thinking a full on backs to the wall performance with me hiding behind the sofa for the 90+ minutes. But with Dier and Sissokes back and Toby, Sanchez and Verts marshalling the back line I think we can, and will, do it!! COYS!!!

Got a right shit feeling about this game. I can’t see Chelsea not scoring, which means we will need to score to stop it going penalties, and I just Can’t see where our goals are coming from. Only hope is we put in a master class of a defensive performance. Got a shit feeling these fuckers will turn up :(

Let's hope that Gazzaniga does a "De Gea" tonight. By far his biggest test yet.

I can't see us geting anything. To miss Son, Kane and Alli is just ridiculous. If we had Alli I gave us a fighting chance as he loves scoring against Chelsea, but Alli's injury is the final nail in the coffin.

I can't forget how awful we were against Fulham too. Still too fresh in the mind.

Very difficult game tonight with all our players fit I would fancy it but now have slight doubts maybe a goalless draw.

Really hoping we get through.

A cup final and big match experience is necessary for our players development.

Obviously great to beat Chelsea and potentially win a trophy too.

We will get smashed tonight, hoping for the opposite though. Because with a loss everyone on here would be loosing their shit because of our injuries, not buying anyone, Poch & Levy, media shit storm and so on.

Kinda hoping we just sit back and park the bus, maybe hit them on the counter with the rapidness of Fernando Lolrente!

Not expecting us to go through. COYS

Well at least Sissoko and Moura are back for this one...and apparently Victor's back in training as well.

I think we can do this. As long as Poch gets his tactics right, we'll go through!!

COYS!!

I'm a lot more hopeful now Sissoko and Moura are back, we have solidity in the middle and the ability to counter, I think logically Chelsea are favourites but I wouldn't rule us out of a defensive masterclass and if Moura can get 1on1 with Rudiger or Luiz we might nick a goal. Plus Eriksen has been known to score the odd worldy out of nowhere especially at the bridge.
