I stick a tenner on us to win the league every year. Fair enough thats about £60 lost since I started doing it, but its better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low...

Or just bet on something that is more likley to happen, and stop losing money

we wont win the league i dont think, too many changes and still not finished with rumours of people coming and going... will give it a good go i think but i dont think it will be this season

I got odds of 66-1 for the league, however I did also see a bet online (cant remember which site) which gave odds of 200-1 for Spurs to win the FA, Carling and UEFA cups.
Personally I think that ones more likely. If I see it again Im gonna chuck a tenner on that one as well!

All this try and win the league/try and get Top 4 is a bit redundant IMO. Is not what we try and do, every season, simply win every game? Isn't that what everyone tries to do?

Basically, a slightly different version of the "take each game as it comes" cliche.

I would have thought Ramos et al just work, plan and prepare for one game at a time.

Then at the end of the year, they see where they've finished.

I find it quite worrying that there is a significant minority on here who think we can actually win the league :eek:mg:

There is not a problem in feeling positive about our team and on our day i think we will be able to beat anyone BUT to win the league you need to be consistent over 38 games! Look at our record for a start against top four sides!

We have a team that will probably have 6 or even 7 new players in the starting line up and it is going to take time for them to really gel/develop as a team and in some cases get used to the Premier League. We have also lost Keane, our most consistent player over the last 4 or 5 seasons and still look quite likely to lose Berbs, argubly our one proven world class player. Not matter who we buy as an replacement it will take time! Although it looks like it will be stronger, our defence will still give away goals and we are all praying that King and Woodgate will manage 30 games each.

If someone offered me a top six finish with a league win against Arsenal and a good cup run, id snap there hand off.

I also dread a scenario that say after after 20 games we in mid-table, there will probably be some stupid fans calling for the head of Ramos. He needs time and i mean 2 or 3 seasons before we can judge him.
