But what have we actually had? People are saying there's been a barrage, but in reality maybe 90% has been thin and largely regurgitated stuff about Eto'o and Villa. Oh, and Damo's on his way out. Whoopydoop.

Doesn't your ITK tracking thread prove that is how it tends to go every window though? At least we are getting information instead of riddles right now, or hangman games (although I guess we do have the player with the 'oo' in the name').

I think the point is that the amount of ITK, whether from well known sources or not, is clogging up Spurs Chat in a big way. Especially today. I have hardly seen a thread, except the crazy 'what is wrong with this team' thread, in here all day that isnt ITK or ITK related.

We get a lot of stuff from BEN, Archibald and (until last window) Dragon. HH has also posted a fair bit over the past couple of windows. Then you have the journos (JTG and Pablo) and a handful of very highly regarded ITKs like Cabinessence and Chunky who post very little. Plus, of course, the chancers, WUMs and fantasy merchants who don't get on to track records.

You could say ITK (such as it is) is clogging up Spurs Chat, but surely this is down to the fact that no-one can really give a toss about the two remaining games, seeing as the best we can hope for is finishing ahead of the Spammers.

So then so far has been not so different as we have heard from all of those three, plus Noodles and Ghalahad. HH knows Darren Bents family and so he has very inside information but little of it. As you said the others post rarely. It is the same now as the window always is. Today would have been a very active day for a normal window.

OK yes our season is effectively over but the little interesting news there is (like any ground news, this loan news etc.) is getting swamped and pushed onto the second page. I am all for the traditions of the window on this site, I have seen enough of them, but it does seem things are in motion already in terms of transfers/potential transfers and I am guessing we will see the transfer forum open before the end of the season. In fact I wouldnt be at all surprised to see another signing before the end of the season (and then people complaining we didn't hear about it and there was no track record etc.)

Last summer we brought in..
Gareth Bale (Southampton), Adel Taarabt (Lens), Yuri Berchiche (Athletic Bilbao), Darren Bent (Charlton), Youness Kaboul (Auxerre), Danny Rose (Leeds), Kevin-Prince Boateng (Hertha Berlin)
This summer everyone seems to have much higher levels of expectation about who we'll bring in.Trying my hardest not to get too carried away myself....

But there is no further ground info, and the loan has been explained. Spurs Chat has become, de facto, the Transfer Rumours thread because there's nothing else to talk about.

Galahad is their equivilant of "The Goat" I think... i.e. several different ITK's who want to remain anonymous

I could be wrong

SO to make everything nice, neat and tidy, opening the transfer forum makes sense.....in just 7 days there are 20+ itk type threads, with about 1,000 post and 5-6000 views...Come on 57 you know it makes sense...

And it makes my life so much easier, theres a good reason alone!

i kinda hope it stays read only, think that could be quite cool, although it will end with duplicate threads in spurs chat i suppose

No, it isn't open now, just some spring cleaning being done ready for the grand opening.

Any chance you could move all the ITK threads on the Spurs Chat page as part of your spring cleaning.

I have just logged on this morning and every other thread is a so called ITK thread. Now either our members know a hell of a lot of people at the club or we are going to have a senior squad of 100 or more next season.
