Can we open transfer rumours forum?

I know it's a bit early, but our season is pretty much finished in terms of events, and there are loads of rumours floating around plus some early ITK info. Seems that a lot of the threads at the top of this page are transfer rumour threads, or talking about transfer targets we would like to have.

I agree it is way too early. Although I can see the point that it might tidy up Spurs Chat a lot as it seems to be being completely dominated by ITK and transfer rumours anyway. If only so people don't have to trawl through silly ITK in here it might be worth it, although it would feel so so so wrong.

I think it should be open now. All the smart clubs are tying up deals early doors and I like to include our very own DC in that. Rafa was whinging about it earlier in the year when he couldn't get his kitty signed off months before the window opened.

With our season being effectively over after the CC final and Ramos saying yesterday that he knew all he needed to know about his squad I suspect our list of 'current squad available for transfer' and 'target list' to bring in is pretty much agreed upon by the committee.

I think the majority of our incomings will be at least be in advanced discussion stages prior to the window openings. For clubs who are scared to sell to us without replacements I think our policy is/should be "we'll pay you extra to get this done now or we'll move on". From a business perspective, the premium you pay is worthwhile if it means you get your squad together early and beat the competition to the best players.

For outgoings I suspect they'll be done later towards the end of the window as other clubs are slower to get their business done.

For the above reasons I think ITK should be wide open from now.

no it wouldnt, most of the ones would still be in spurs chat as there are only abotu 3 ITK threads, rest are just who woudl you want or who could we get, not ITK info, just people saying who they would want, and those dont go into transfer window threads, well unless they have a convo thread there again :shrug:

I don't understand why it closes at all. Transfer rumours don't go away when the window closes, they just slow down.

Not to mention, Stoof has been MIA recently. You can't open the forum without Stoof. And if he were here, he would tell you that it won't happen before June 1st.

Therefore, we'll be releasing snippets we receive under the pseudonym 'The Goat', a username we've created especially for the purpose of giving out ITK we receive from our source, or anyone else who contacts us and wishes to remain anonymous.
