Can we open transfer rumours forum?

We have ITK info coming from all angles, we even have our own Goat ITK info!!!

And we are signing players!!

What more do we need to do to get the transfer rumour forum opened?

why?

surely the transfer forum is for talking about transfers - if we are making transfers (and potentialy our biggest ever transfer) before the end of the season then surely we should be opening the forum in line with this.

I think it should be open now. All the smart clubs are tying up deals early doors and I like to include our very own DC in that. Rafa was whinging about it earlier in the year when he couldn't get his kitty signed off months before the window opened.

With our season being effectively over after the CC final and Ramos saying yesterday that he knew all he needed to know about his squad I suspect our list of 'current squad available for transfer' and 'target list' to bring in is pretty much agreed upon by the committee.

I think the majority of our incomings will be at least be in advanced discussion stages prior to the window openings. For clubs who are scared to sell to us without replacements I think our policy is/should be "we'll pay you extra to get this done now or we'll move on". From a business perspective, the premium you pay is worthwhile if it means you get your squad together early and beat the competition to the best players.

For outgoings I suspect they'll be done later towards the end of the window as other clubs are slower to get their business done.

For the above reasons I think ITK should be wide open from now.

Really, no disrespect to The Goat and Brett, we've had very, very little from the 'established' ITKs so far, and most of it has been pretty vague.

I don't really see why that's relevant...90% of the info we always get is vague or unverified - when five of the top six threads are ITK topics, doesn't it make more sense to reopen it now than wait just for the sake of it? Red tape for the sake of red tape. I'd rather have all my ITK stuff in a nicely edited little bundle than have to wade through multiple topics, scrolling through them to see if there are any new nuggets.

The only thing that should be stopping it reopening at this point is if the people who usually keep it running smoothly are unwilling or unable at the moment. Other than that, there's no reason to keep it shut.

To be fair we have had info from BEN, dragon, Archibald, Scout et al. in the last few days. It has seemed very window like the last few days.
