We go away to milan and score 3, cannot beat brum? where is the consitency? was a draw against newcastle a decent point for chelsea? was a draw against everton a decent point for chelsea? jesus christ it is 2 points dropped it is NOT a decent fucking point.

We did score 3 at Inter, but we still lost. We have also lost away to:

BSC Young Boys
West Ham (only win this season)
Man Utd
Bolton

we have just picked up our second draw in the league away from home against a team have only lost once at home this season and conceded just 6 at home.

We have only won 3 away games this season, drawn 3 now and lost 5

Mike, how is saying it is not a decent point and that we are losing ground totally overreacting?

Well, it IS a decent point and saying we are losing ground is not correct as I explained. Your post makes it sound like we have been dropping points week after week, when in reality we have come off the back of our best run in the league all season so far.

It's a decent point in context of their home performances/results over the past 2 years and it's a decent point in terms of the match, which we dominated 1st half and were then second best for much of the 2nd in.

If you still need convincing try looking back at our most recent results against Birmingham. In the last 4 we have won 1, drawn 1 and lost 2. One of those defeats was the 3-2 at WHL, the other was a 4-1 tonking. Our only win in recent times was at home last season, where they nullified us for most of the game and we were pretty fortunate to get a late, late winner.

So if you were expecting an easy win, more fool you.

What did BAE do wrong then ?
He looked very indecisive when he had the ball, resulting that our counter-attack was quite ineffective. Also, a few occasions that he just kicked long balls into the box with Crouch just few yards beside him.wonder What he was thinking...

Besides which I didn't say you were most guilty of overreacting, only responded to your criticism of those who are not about to slit their wrists over a draw away to Birmingham.

In a perfect world I agree with you. I don't think anyone is doing cartwheels about this result.

However, we didn't play brilliantly at any point in this game. We had a good first half but hardly scintillating stuff and an iffy 2nd half. It would have been great had we been able to gut it out and sneak away with a 1-0. Even that would have been a bit of bugger considering we should have been a couple of goals up by HT but at least it would been 3 pts. This team obviously isn't perfect and will drop even more pts throughout the season I have no doubt. In terms of picking up pts wherever and whenever it could have been a big fat donut instead. We could have been 3-1 down at HT against Pool and were getting pumped by assnal at HT. Take what you get and come back stronger next time.

We got blatted 4-2 by Berltun not so long ago. It could be worse and that isn't me popping open the champagne in celebration either.

Slightly disapointing to to only get a point as we played really well for 65 minutes. However Id taken a point before the game. St Andrews is really hard place to go they have only lost 1 game there in past year. I had a poor stream today however do have to be slightly critical for our strikers it looked like Crouch had a shocker today and Defoe missed some good chances.

I thought we were very good in the first half. Why we can't play like that for most of the game is beyond me.
Oh sure, we had possession and created chances. Not top form but clearly on top in the first half. The point is dissapointing but what really pist me off was the problem I had hoped the team had got over. Playing well, get a lead and then turtle. Once the inevitable equalizer was scored we started to keep it on the deck and get forward again. Instantly. That does drive me to almost tear my hair out. That shit needs to stop.

Yes, we were were good. The flip side of that was that Brum were pants in the first half but upped the tempo in the second.

I'm sure the players would have liked to, but Birmingham played their part in the change in momentum by upping their game. It's never just as simple as saying go out there and be better than the opposition.

Player for player we're a better side than them. We could have upped our game too (which we did when they equalised), but instead sat back and tried to defend a lead which we can never do, instead of going for the jugular. Deja fucking vu.

Its not results like today that are costing us a place in the top four its the ealier season results that are the home defeat to Wigan and away defeat to West Ham. Had we won those two we would be 2nd or third in the league.
