That is the point isn't it ? When he plays alongside Zokora he is half the player

Tainio. Good positional sense, likes a tackle, keeps it simple, reads the game well, perfect foil for Jenas, tracks his runners, disciplined and has bags of experience. What more could you want from a defensive midfielder?

Hudd is an option, but it has to be in the right games. Like not against a midfeild 5 or an attacking midfeilder who will run at him all day, because he wont cope with it.

The answer to the thread title, however, isn't in the poll. We need to buy a quality partner for him...we've tried everyone and it hasn't worked...we need to buy someone new, someone better.

Marty got it spot on. O hara can look good in patches but his defending is still reserve standard. He cannot track runners at all, and this often leads to problems for us.

I would love to ask Ramos why Tainio hasnt played in central MF since the bashing of les arses. And while Im there i would also ask why lee hasnt got a game!

C'mon..........people can't blame others for the fact that Jenas lack quality.

Open your eyes and take a good look at CM's in succesful teams in England and out in Europe. Jenas wouldn't be first choice anywhere. He lacks splitvision, creativity and pace when it comes to passings.

Well by the look on the replay it looks like JJ may be out for a few weeks. Either Thudd or TT for me. Especially last night i thought Thudd should play, PSV were always going to sit back and Thudd would have been able to pick out the passes'.

TT is good at man marking and should only be used to nullify a player when one of the CMs is as influential as Cesc or Kaka

Why not play Paula Radcliffe instead of Jenas. She can run around a lot. That's why everyone seems to think Jenas is good.
