Yeh it would make sense. Ounahi is great and offers something different to our current crop of 4 + Sarr but if we’re only playing 2 there every game then having 6 bodies (and 6 really good ones, we have really good midfielders) is a bit overkill.
I'm not so sure we do have really good midfielders I think we have one and a few decent players who need a better player alongside them. Bentancur seems to make the others look good. hojbjerg seems like a good player alongside him but without Bentancur gliding across and covering so much ground next to him he starts to look static heavy legged and always a yard off the play. The same applies to Skipp and Bissouma.

I know they are bottom of the league, but are they really that desperate
Probably the best time to cash in. The Angers president has form for buying low and selling high.
Think Bentaleb is there, maybe he can put in a good word.

I think the perplexing thing for me is that we need a keeper, right wing back, 2 + centre backs as well as the AM so surely some of them will have to be homegrown? Considering Porro is also a foreign player i'm not sure how we're going to make it work unless we've got offers for Emerson.
I agree but I’m assuming they will be swaps of sorts, for example Royal out Porro in, Lucas out and an AM in. Not sure what happens come summer with the CDs tho.

I hope he would be as successful as the last player we signed following a strong World Cup, DeAndre Yedlin.

I think Sarr is in line for more game time with us so not sure about that.
Yeah pure speculation on my part Trix ??. As I said earlier, heard nothing on this apart from a name on the list a couple of weeks ago.

Glad Sarr will be getting more game time, looks a talent.

Been actively watching him for a good few months. Still not convinced it will go anywhere, but the press have picked up on it so worth breaking cover.(y)

That is good, if we are indeed keen, I would hate to think we would be interested in signing him off the back of just the world cup. That would be a very west ham kind of thing to do.

From the outside looking in I'd say so, as the more advanced of the three. I would imagine this guy(should we get him) would be his understudy/rotation. The more different names I hear linked the more it looks like a shift away from 3-4-3. At the moment we have no other way of creating anything from the right which is why we have been playing this way and it's why we are still looking at more or less CM options that can play forward than outright AM's.

All imho of course.

I hope this is Conte finally going to back 4 but I'm assuming it will mean 352 or 532.

I didn't notice him in the world cup but to be fair I have an 18 month old running round so I barely notice anything on the Tele.

I hope this link and others mean a move to 352. Kane and son could be great and It suits Richarlison. Also anyone think Kulu has the attributes to be Kane's successor? He has the strength and hold up play, great vision and is a good finisher.

Conte previously going to a 352 hasn't been about adding an attacking midfielder though, it's by bringing in an anchoring playmaker (think of it as taking more control of the midfield) which of course allow the two others to be more free to go forward. Not saying Ounahi can't be part of it, more raising the question of who is going to be holding, and whether Kulusevski is a midfield option - think he'd be more inclined to be one of the two forwards.

Ounahi vs France semis game is just incredible....

He just made 3 back/side way passes all game, even those came when he was trying to play quick interchange give & go.

If he can play to this level in PL, our buildup/linkup play goes from 0 to 100. This lad is pure class.
