Not being negative just analysing. He looked pretty good in the World Cup but in what way do you feel he is a difference maker?

He doesn't provide goals or assists yet and isn't an amazing lockpicker or passer.

Looks a very talented midfielder and ball carrier but I'm just not sure he's a difference maker, YET anyway.

I love these types of signings as I love developing younger talents but I'm just not sure how he would fit in with Conte's preference in players who are experienced and ready to deliver.
Like Dembele?
He rarely scored or assisted but did so much for the team and those around him.

If this lad has half the potential to become something like the Moose, then yes please.

I was talking more in terms of if he is meant to be an advanced CM or CAM.

That would be lovely. Slightly different physical profile though but young enough to bulk up.

I'd be inclined to trust Paratici on this one, who seems to have a decent hit rate on getting good value from the market.

Here comes all the negative stuff in him. From what I have seen, he is exactly that difference maker we need.
I think he’s an extremely exciting prospect who could have a bright future, but he’s still raw from what I’ve seen and he’s got 2 goals and 2 assist in his two seasons at Angers so expecting him to come in and be a difference maker I feel is putting a little bit too much pressure on him imo especially considering he has quite a slight frame so will no doubt take some time to adjust to the physicality of the PL. Yes i know he played well at the WC but that’s a very different circumstance.

I’m not against him at all, and would love him at the club, but considering how desperate the situation is at the moment I’m not sure he’s the right answer if he were to be our only addition in the attacking department.

Smells very WC flavour panicky pan pan panic.....
I don't think there is much wrong with signing a player based on a good WC is there? Especially if it's a player we've been aware of previously. His performances deep into the competition would signal he's more than capable of handling pressure games no?

If he's their best player and they are bottom of league then selling him would make relegation an even bigger possibility so would probably take a decent sized bid to get him.

I think the perplexing thing for me is that we need a keeper, right wing back, 2 + centre backs as well as the AM so surely some of them will have to be homegrown? Considering Porro is also a foreign player i'm not sure how we're going to make it work unless we've got offers for Emerson.

We have a few players we could sell/loan them...

Watching his highlights on you tube, he does remind me of Adel Tarrabt, his quick footwork and dribbling skills. Looks exiting to watch at the very least!

I wonder how much Angers want for him
I wasn't surprised to see we had an interest I'd imagine there's quite a bit after the world cup so to see we were interested beforehand is good news.
For some reason I thought he was 26 but he's only 22 so much the better.

Here's hoping Paratici plays a blinder on this one by getting someone out to them even if just on loan. Sarr could be an ideal one, another 5/6 months to bulk up.

From the outside looking in I'd say so, as the more advanced of the three. I would imagine this guy(should we get him) would be his understudy/rotation. The more different names I hear linked the more it looks like a shift away from 3-4-3. At the moment we have no other way of creating anything from the right which is why we have been playing this way and it's why we are still looking at more or less CM options that can play forward than outright AM's.

All imho of course.

I really hope this is the case. Just having 3 in midfield with Deki as playmaker (with a decent rotation option) and a quality RWB would completely transform us.

My eyes might be lying to me, but, having watched his YouTube clip he reminds me in the way he runs/slalom around players of Jude Bellingham.

Admittedly less ability but......
