Just another team? They are the club we hate the most because of the history and the fact they are our neighbours, Liverpool's biggest rivalry has been and will always be Man Utd, if anything our rivalry with them has been manufactured on social media but it's minor in comparison to both of our traditional rivals, if either team fall away we become irrelevant to each other.
Yes I agree but the thing is we haven’t fallen away from each other and if anything grown more competitive with each other. After the CL final I can see this blowing up big time next year when we play them in the PL, especially if we win it!

Arsenal are not as bigger rivals as Liverpool and Chelsea these days.
Arsenal and Spurs is more a media promotional vehicle.
Arsenal are just another team in league these days imo
Liverpool is imo our biggest two game of the season.
Sorry, got to disagree.

I hate Arsenal with every fibre of my body.

In this order,

Arsenal
Chelsea
West Ham
Liverpool/United
Everyone else.

I think its a geographical thing, I'm from south-west London 'Chelsea country' and have always seen Arsenal as more 'pantomime villains' used to have a great time at Highbury in the late '60s their fans were always fine.
After watching a lot of my football through the nauseating Liverpool domination 70'/'80 I'm scarred for life.

Point is that if either team become crap no one cares about Liverpool vs Spurs. If the same applied to Spurs or Arsenal then that rivalry doesn't become any less significant.

I understand what you are saying. At the moment in terms of competition it is Liverpoolwe are rivaling. But the current situation will not overturn the geographical and longevity of our rivalry with Arsenal.

I get it from your stand point and where you come from. But bragging rights, no matter how big or small, are the main factor.
Coming from Hertfordshire, them lot up the road have been the bane of my life for years. I couldn't give a flying toss if northerners won it. As you say Liverpools dominance in the 70s and 80s was galling but equally so was Uniteds through the 90s and 00s. But I don't have to live with them everyday. Gooners I have to.

I despise everything about them. They are the antichrist of football.

I hate their kit, their ground both old and new, I hated Wenger. Campbell. Pires. Henry. Adams. Dixon. Winterburn. Bould. Viera. Petit. Anelka. Ljundberg. Nicolas. George. Mclintock. Graham. Sunderland. Rocastle. Thomas. Seaman. Keown. All of them.
I hate them for securing the title twice at WHL. I hate them for the 93 semi when we had one over on them for just 2 years. For the league Cup semi in 86, lucky bastards.

But mainly I hate the supporters.

I don't "hate" anybody because of the football team they support.
I know of a couple of mental cases from the old days back in the s60 at WHL who were just plain dangerous. more worrying than any Gooner.

"bragging rights " used to be called banter in my day and we used to rib whoever and then have a drink 'together'?

I'm talking beyond football, tbh...... They're a weird lot.

They are no different from the rest of us, but there is, of course, a minority of 'normal' football fans who tend to mislay contact with reality a little too often.

Fair play. I'm not one of those, I don't want to do anything stupid. Never have never will. Just can't stand the club.

I will caveat my vitriol by stating that my best man is a gooner. We just don't talk match weeks:sneaky:

Sorry to say but anyone that doesn’t put Arsenal top don’t live in north London. As for Liverpool some Everton fan put a spurs flag outside his house for a bit of banter and got his house graffitied. They really are the most vile supporters.

Arsenal are our rivals but that doesn't however preclude hating another teams fans more, I for my sins hate Arsenal fans for where they are but in a sporting sense however I despise chelsea fans for what they are full stop.
As for Liverpool I don't see them as rivals but we have to accept that they have improved and have managed to drag themselves up to our level from their previous lowly position, bless them.

Not even close. Liverpool are a competitor with a very annoying fan base and a media love in driven by all the pundits being ex Liverpool.

Arsenal are our main rivals then Chelsea and West Ham.

I saw a pic on twitter this morning from a Liverpool supporter showing gas chambers stripy camp clothes and dead bodies relating to Spurs fans - I was not shocked so much - just disgusted. I won't be showing it anywhere.

This from a person who knows quite a few decent Liverpool lads from way back and having spent a lot of time partying there on long weekends.
